I've done those quizzes quite a few times. In my first year at uni, I did them loads, basically until I could remember them all. Haven't done them for like 3/4 years now, but tried the other day and got 193, and just now 195.

how do you know things like the order of the caribbean islands?

The order doesnt matter, though I always do things in groups, usually geographically like latvia, lithuania, estonia, belarus, but sometimes it's like a chain where one triggers the next e.g. mali -> malawi -> mauritius -> maritania.

don't know many world flags tbh. it's just a case of learning them though, my little brother used to have them all in his bedroom and knew them. Sean Belton can do them all I think too.

I might tackle the capitals of the world next time I have some time to kill. I know the european ones, south american ones, and a few of the others, but could try and get all 196.

Can you do it without the map as a guide? If you can that'd be really cool.

I would think that you'd get some because your memory gets jogged when you get another one close by.

Ridiculously impressive though either way.

Wouldn't mind a fun bet but nothing serious.

Set the line at 188 and go for a quid a point for example. Definitely not going to risk any real money on it.

I think it'd be really tough without the map. For one you need to remember which ones you've already said.

This is a true talent Alex. Just as a matter of interest do you think after a short while you could look at a 52 std deck of shuffled cards and recall them. I have seen this done a few times and is a matter of training the mind but you obv are half way there already.

Have seen it a number of times.

Most of those that do the 52 card thing do it by building a story as each card is revealed, memorising the story then playing it through again in their head when the cards are re-stacked then revealed after each answer.

This however is incredible if you haven't seen it, been on blonde before
