Cliffs from weekend
Friday - +800 in a 1/2 game, then +370 in a 2/5 game.
Saturday - played the 300 side event, busted twice before we got to 150/300

Coolered on both exit hands. Only bowl cash games running, won like £270. Heard some guy moaning and whining about Dan Edler getting in £100 pre with 44 for rofls and obv getting there. Saying "oh my god what's going on, have you even played poker before? WHAT IS GOING ON WITH 100 BIG BLIND POKER THESE DAYS" -WHAT A TOOL! Thought it'd be good crack to sit on his left and just try and wind him up and bust him 72o or something. Didn't get any spots unfortunately, except one hand where he made it £4 blind on blind and I just set him in for £200 for jokes (had 33). Knew it would wind him up even more, and if he calls and I win he would've lost his mind which would've been brilliant - the entire reason I sat in the game lol. He folded though.
Sunday - I spent a lovely morning with Hannah (yes, morning, I'm in a horrible routine of getting up at 9am and going to sleep at midnight - so weird), we went to Wollaton park and had a walk around and lunch there, it was really sunny and it's so beautiful there. The manor house is being used as Wayne manor in the next Batman film!
Then, headed to DTD to rail the 770 final. Stato had made the final 8 whoop! Dan Morgan was there too, and Deadman - it was a sick final table. The rail was pretty weak to start with. More and more people joined me throughout the day, there was about 10 of us by the end, all getting smashed, cheering on the word wizard. Great atmosphere. Final was really interesting, really high standard and the comp is structured brilliantly. Stato did him and Lynn proud by coming 2nd for £21k. Really happy for him.
Dan was a good sport and stuck around having come 4th, we all went out for a Thai meal, (I was pretty gone by this point, Mitch had lined up a 2/5 game for later with some nice spots in so I shifted into reverse gear, ordered big bottle of water, and tried to get sober enough to play later!). Dan was even kind enough to not pick his own card out for the CCR, so he picked up the tab for the nottingham boys

The meal was really good, and so much good crack, as they say in newcastle- we had a reet laugh.
I love the whole team spirit thing. Poker's very much an individual game. We all played for ourselves, do what's best for ourselves, and have no reservations about taking huge pots off one another. That's business on the felt, no hard feelings there. Off the felt we have the best time together, and when one of us finals a big comp, we all drop everything pretty much and are there on the rail cheering whoever it is on. It's a great thing.
Anyway, back to DTD, sober enough, 2/5 starts, game isn't that great and I'm knackered, only stay for an hour or two. Managed to pull off my first £1k bluff though wiiiii, although maybe it doesn't count if it's an allin pre (managed to get a 5b shove through mr Giblin with A2

). Quit the game winning about 450, making that 6/6 winning sessions for March
