Yeh I had a shit day, grinded starting stack +/- 3k all day, first table was soft, second table wasn't so much, ended up 3b/calling AJ hijack vs bb  vs aggro opener for 30 bigs, lost to AK, meh, was pretty standard.

Made one non-standard move all day, getting very out of line vs pleno in one hand Cheesy was one of those that's really spewy on paper/technically, but had really good reads and reasons for doing it and was really confident it'd work - which it did, so I feel ok about it! Had it not, I would've been really pissed at myself lol.

Anyway, so I busted, Plinton, Keith, Deadman, Stato and DMorgan all made it through - so much greater success rate today. Hopefully we'll have one FT sweat to come!

Played some more 5/10, lost KK vs AA, but doubled up with TT vs god knows what on T879, won about 600 overall. Putting thigh in some of the 2/5 games, he's doing ok too, so trip is going OK financially.

Tanking playing a 770 everest side event tomorrow, or grinding the sundays in the villa by the pool in the sun mmmmmm!

Alex, what are the state of the DTD £ 0.50/1 cash games?

I always get the impression that there pretty regish whenever I visit the club every 3-4 months.

For the average standard recreational player are these games beatable?

theyre ok mate, rake is much better now and the better players have moved to 1/2 so they're soft and definitely beatable. Only trouble is the £100 cap.

Friday night there was only a 1/2 game for about an hour or so.  Don't understand why though as there were four of us on one .50/1 table with our names on the 1/2 list from early, and others who wanted to play it as well.  The game took ages to get started, and then died pretty quickly and it was back to the .50/1 game.

Guess it was a quiet evening, especially the week after the UKIPT and the week before the GP.

Yes, but surely you big dogs would be playing the 1/3 game or bigger?

Brief update:

Just Linton left in the main - he's 2/8 with 12k locked up, 150k ftw. EPIC rail tomorrow in store - gonna be so sick, that's what these trips are about - all going to some country to play a donkament, hoping one of us goes deep enough to final and then we all get smashed cheering them to victory and go out and celebrate afterwards - it's the best thing ever! Keith winning that Eureka thing in Prague last year was just the sickest time ever, and nights out after someone's binked something are just the nuts. Can't wait.

Distracting from this tomorrow will be the extremely important Spanish Open, which has a rather large 300 euro buy-in and a massive 130 runners. I made day two as the chip leader, there's 35 people left, about 10k ftw. I'm in like 9k of makeup, so we need first to get any dough for myself, but I don't care about that- IT'S ALL ABOUT THE FLAGS! I have 5 flags atm, all from DTD events, it's pathetic really - so let's do this!

We had a sick day today playing tennis, swimming, table tennis and just having a sick time in the sun. The first day we didn't play poker, and surprise surprise - it's been the best day. Did flick it in in this Spanish Open in the evening and played really well and focussed really well, ran good obv, and hopefully can continue tomorrow.

Of course it's all about the flags. Don't let titybean or pleno tell you otherwise. Loving watching your transformation into a beautiful butterfly I long for the day when you open up your heart and declare to the world " tight is right" Smiley

Best of luck today. Sick double
