So the week has been pretty bad pokerwise, mtts going pretty tez (still loving them though!), scoop is miserable so far, losing big pots for big stacks is never fun with all that money up top.
One saving grace that could save the week....SUNDAY!
My naïve optimism will probably be punished by losing 3k tomorrow, but at least that pain will be set back until I bust day 2 of the 150.
Played day 1 on friday and spun up quite a good stack by winning allins and generally outplaying my opponents at showdown.
65going back playing for about 15k up top, I have about 1.5x average.
I usually have a stack for day two, and I usually lose most of it in the first level or so - let's hope that doesn't happen and I do a win. Got a good feeling about this one.

Perfectly natural to feel different being bust out of a competition that has been so life changing and important to you in the past.I felt the same when I bust out of the Incredible Hundred.

Played next to JK today. Pretty sure you will see a decent ROI from him in the near future. We both were guilty of having a laugh at some guy who turns up at our table. Turns out it is Jac Arama and he won us both over in the end.
Great table company tonight

Why've I just watched Eden Lake before going to bed? I swear it's the sickest (in the old fashioned sense of the word) film I've ever seen.
It's a film about these sick sick kids who torture and kill this couple and the ring leader like forces his gang to do all these horrible things.
I've seen it before a few years back, no idea what possessed me to watch it again. Eurgh. Don't watch it!

Disaster sunday, mincashed the 150, got nothing going all day, still had average, ran TT into KK in a totally standard spot to cripple me.
Then played all the sundays and bricked most of them, had a couple of decent sweats to give me faint hope, built some big stacks but they all crashed and burned in bad beats/coolers.

Cos was in town yesterday, had a good day chilling with him and Mitch and Peejay. played tennis, me and cos were 5-0 up and had match point before our session ended and we got booted off the court! If only we were playing for money, oh wait...
We finally got a no limit Holdem cash game going at DTD too, first I've played since the ukipt, never had such a long drought of live cash action before. Last night was a good though. Walster came along, Gascoigne was there too plus one or two randoms, even StuartHopkin joined us, it was a reet laugh.
Until we started to play props with Rastafish of course, never a smart plan - he had Kings and it was incredibly how often they came, on the river, on doubles, trebles. He hit one on the river when he was on trebled for £75 a man, so gross. What made it worse was that he kept having a king in his hand too, making it even less likely he'd get there AND it always gave him the best hand so he just cleaned up in the game too, so tilting how good that guy runs.
It was a fairly miserable session for me, just couldn't hit anything and giving Rastafish at least £10 every hand was draining to say the least!
At the moment it feels like money is draining out of me out of every orafice. On a prolonged 2/3month downswing for live cash games (about £10k), an mtt downswing of about $4k (not much I realise) and all my horses and %ages are losing too. I feel like one of those fountains where water comes out of it at lots of different points and then eventually it's supposed to all come back again at the top and start again but it hasn't yet.
It's getting to me a bit, I only feel the need to mention it to correct everyones completely ridiculous premise that I run good all the time. It's fine when I'm actually running good, but when im knocking it in all over the place and everyones like "Alex stake me for this stake me for that, come join our fucking staking syndicate" GTFO! In my view, staking should be strictly on a "don't ring us we'll ring you" basis, it's just plain rude to do otherwise.
On a train to London for a meeting with a lawyer. Things ticking along with the website, just waiting for the web guy to finish building it (could be a month or two yet) and then my job is just making sure everything is ready for the launch.

Oh and Cos wanted me to mention that he owned me by folding AK preflop vs me when I had kings. True story.

Ah Alex sorry to hear about the downswing, as you are aware it is obviously standard but I understand its frustrating people telling you that you run golden etc.
Regards the syndicate I assumed you were "in" because you were vouching for Sean and you said he's massivley +ev, a great horse and you are often staking people, Dave and Amir had both expressed interest too but having you on board and being able to talk to him about the games at DTD speak about regs etc etc was one of the main reasons why I wanted to get involved and why I thought it was most likely +ev. We had also talked previously about staking syndicates regarding certain players and you had previously been keen as well as expanding the Goulder Empire as of late. Sorry if I put you in an awkward spot there. Remember....
Never assume, it makes an ass out of u and me.

Good times last night :-)
Was there no lawyer's available a bit closer to home?
