Its a bit much to expect people to risk thousands to win a pittance. Thats the problem with the bet

Antifunking is a pretty horrible thing as well

Yeah that is the problem really.  It really isn't worth someone risking a fairly large proportion of their bankroll for what is, at the end of the day, a fairly small edge.    I don't think anyone doubts that Alex has an edge but the question is how big that edge is and tying up 10-20% of your bankroll to prove a point and get a 10-20% edge would be a pretty stupid thing to do especially when there are bigger edge available in all kinds of things on a daily basis without the big risks.  If anything the opportunity cost of the bet tying up bankroll would probably offset any edge significantly enough to turn it into a -EV proposition.

Ok the bet was a bit shit, you've all seen me, I'd drunk a lot more than a man my size is supposed to. Think I should take a hiatus in posting from blonde for a while lol. Made more dumb posts these past two weeks than I have all year. Not even sure I used hiatus right ffs, Jesus. I'm out,

Alex, i enjoy reading your diary (and the others on here) you have always seemed reasonable and quite level headed and not bolshi. You have just had a massive upheaval in your life and can be expected to be a bit offish, BUT remember to be the PRO and dont turn into one of those foooooookers that wants to play everyone that upsets them heads up for roles lol.
Imo the bet thing was a bit crass and deff not your normal demeanour.
Have a cracking time in Columbia and dont forget reports and photos.

In my experience, actions always speak louder then words. Anybody who is competent in a given subject will let their skills do the talking. Yeah, poker is somewhat diff with variance, flips and suck outs but if you truly believe you are value.... Just go out there and show em.

I hope the break does you the world of good and all the very best of luck for your pokerz.

Ps grats on the staking bink.

You're unfamiliar with the structure, the place, traveling by yourself etc you have some good results already but all these have come from tournaments in DTD...

Alan Partridge is amazing. We should have a quote-off next time we share a cash table together Ed.

Will happily have a Partridge-off for rolls. Would prob even buy myself at 1.55 to get extra action Wink

Needless to say, I'll have the last laugh. Now fck off.
