Been a mad last few days, made a run in the £500, cashed for £1.3k, PJ and Jack both cashed too, so reasonable result for the team, but of course, all disappointed not to go deeper especially with the standard of the field and all the money up top. Loved every second of the comp though - was awesome, got a massive buzz (especially when I had chips late on day one and at times on day two) and also having Jack and PJ in at the same time (especially Jack who had a big stack most of the tournament) that was pretty exciting. Loved it!
Really disappointed with a couple of things though - made a really bad call on the bubble I think, I had been smashing it up a bit, then I opened 99 utg+1 out of about 45bbs and Gaz Walker shoved 24bbs in MP. He's the only player I call on the table, but should still fold given the damage it does to my stack (block theory and all that...). So I was annoyed at myself for that - could've recovered as well if I held QQ vs KT for a really big pot, where the guy 3bet/calls ~25bbs, really bizarre play from him and he spiked a King on the flop so that was a bit gutting to happen in the money.
Jack also got coolered nastily to bust in about 50th - some young guy (Cina) flatted his open with AK and Jack had AQ and understandably found it hard to get away on AA3.
Massively pleased for Sean though, who finally has had a decent break through score - coming 6th for £17k - really really happy for him. We all went down to rail the final which was awesome - had a lot to drink and consequently made some pretty poor decisions (such as sitting with a grand in a 1/2 game after he'd busted and making some "suboptimal" plays). I did actually use my drunken image to get Mitch to call off £400 pre with A9o when I shoved over his £15 open, trying to make it look like I was punting around, when actually I had AK. The mug fell for it but got lucky and spiked a 9, such is his life
.
Then I missed 14 outs twice for £1500 pot vs Pat, who then offered me a slightly +EV flip for £400, whereby he picks a card from the deck, and then has to pick another card of the same colour to win, if he picks a different colour then I win. So I had a 3.5% edge on the flip so being a professional gambler, I had to take it, but I lost unfortunately.
Really fun weekend back, had everything I've missed about Nottingham - big comp, big cash games, a sick rail, sweating horses/mates, getting drunk, tons of banter with everyone - feels good to be back.
Supposed to be a big night out tonight with all the DTD staff (and valets I hope
) but I'm so hungover right now, and also supposed to play the $1k wcoop tonight. Think I'm still gonna go out tonight though.

Oh god that was just absolutely hilarious! In my drunken state I totally messed up the recording and only started recording half way through.
Uploading it to youtube now.
I forget the exact details, basically Mitch 3bets a shortstack, who then shoves, Ian is in the middle. It's completely obvious to everyone else at the table that if Ian flat calls the guys shove (which was £130 I think), then Mitch is going to iso jam over the top, but Ian peels the £130 and as soon as the words "call" escape his mouth, Mitch says he's allin, Ian says "OH ****" and then basically with all the banter that was going round, everybody smashed and having a good time, he just flicked it in, and here's what I caught on camera at the end, comedy scenes! <3 Father Gascoigne

Had a great night on Tuesday to celebrate Belton's bink. We had drinks at ours first and then headed into town and met all the DTD lot. Loads of dealers (not enough valets) and bar staff -was really cool seeing them socially and integrating more, and always nice to have a different crowd to go out with every so often. We had a wicked time and then invited everybody back to ours for an after party - got pretty messy. People didn't leave till about 7am and the house was an absolute tip. Have to say it was nice not to deal with all that and just ring a cleaner up and she cleaned it all up while we went for an afternoon hooters sesh!

Getting too old for 2 nights of drinking in a row, was feeling pretty rough all day yesterday, and had to make my season debut for the DTD degens in our new league, (in which we'd won the first 3 games of the season in my absence...), hungover and out of practice, I played terribly and feel I badly let the team down this week. We drew 4-4 which was OK, and the team we played were quite good, but replace me with Deadman and we probably smash them. Deadman's broken his elbow or wrist or something so is out for a while. My fitness is actually pretty good now, and I defend alright, make decent tackles and mark people well - I'm just terrible on the ball! Oh well, is always good fun and good for the ol' life balance...
Played a tiny session online when I got back and did OK, PJ did well and Jack and Jamie both did OK too I think. Want to move them up stakes really but I have to be really careful so I'm gonna wait until there's a bink somewhere before that happens.
Missed most of the WCOOPs I was planing to play because of all that's been going on. Going Newcastle today too for UKIPT whichll be cool, but yeh the "lock-down" september I'd planned has not really happened so far! Better win the UKIPT

Drove up to Geordieland yesterday, had a great night with the boys - Keith, Keys, Mitch, Thigh, Stato, PJ and I all went for a nice meal (ty PJ) and then out for some drinks.
Wasn't a big one because the main was a midday start today but have a feeling there's gonna be at least one sick night out here - nightlife is incred and the local talent is just unbelievable.
UKIPT gonna get about 750 total runners probably, so similar prizepool to DTD last weekend. Put PJ in, Jack's in notts repping the gouldern empire in the SPT grand final, and JK is flying the flag in Alea's flagship friday night £10 rebuy main event.

Yeh we're tanking upgrading our cleaner to a really hot one. Our one atm does a good job and doesn't steal. She's not a looker though and is a bit cheeky (asked me to "drop her off" in the city centre in the middle of rush hour).
Thoughts?
