Grown men being part of a "team" is laughable in the first place. But when things like this happen makes it even more funnier!

#Team_Plums

yeah all organised sport is totally gay. when people want to get into teams and call themselves man utd and stuff it's not cool any more. should be every man for himself

serious?

This post is tooo funny....

Will do a TR from Newcastle tomorrow or tuesday - had a verrrrry long sunday online grind today - about 16 hours! Was looking like being my biggest ever losing day - I'd played some big stuff over a bunch of sites and bricked everything, losing some really brutal pots all over the place - and Jamie, Jack and PJ all played and ran awful too - so morale was pretty low.

Fortunately the biggest comp I played (the $700 WCOOP) went pretty well and I've made day two 77/169 with 2.2k locked up and a pretty decent $339k ftw! So that's pretty exciting. Sold on blonde for it so only have 45% of myself (Stato being the majority shareholder, but many other heroes with small slices) but still, could be a big sweat tomorrow.

Love MTTs, there's always some sort of sweat - even though almost everytime it ends badly - there's always hope!

Newcastle was so sick....went out pretty much everynight, so knackered now, and the $700 was 30minute levels so has been an absolute grrrrrrrrind!

I railed for quite a few hours Alex, you played very solid in the $700. I was railing in the other one you cashed in, but I must have missed every single big hand you was in, as everytime I browsed that table, you had already folded!

As for $700, as mentioned above, you played solid. I think towards last 20 mins, played a but loose (to try to get above av?), but was OK. I was curious about one pot again another Alex at the table you raise on button (or late pos) and he calls. FLOP is 9/10/Q (I think?) and you bet pretty small on flop, he calls. You then bet half the pot after he checks to you and he check raises you, you fold or was timed out, very curious to know what you had here/thinking?

Trying something new here which might be quite fun. Auctioning off 2% of my prize money in todays day 2...So get involved for a sweat, 0.25% costs $30 atm and could return $850.

Unfortunately today did not go as I hoped. The $700 started with me 3betting J9o bb vs cutoff and cbetting 97x, he floated with JT and barrelled a 6 turn and found the Ten on the river and checked back. So that was about half my stack gone. Then I raise called off 22bbs with KK and lost to AJ, leaving me with 4bbs which soon found their way in QT which lost to 22. So pretty much the worst possible outcome. Cashed for $2.7k.

Played a standard session of MTTs alongside, which went pretty bad, cashed in the hiroller coming 13th for 900, with 8k for first. Busted raising the btn with 87o flopping 9TJssx, villain shoves for 4x pot with Axss. Turned dead.

A host of similar beats deep in the money of big comps tops off a pretty awful turn of form recently. Had so many sweats recently, sweats for big 5 or even 6 figure scores and taken so many nasty beats in them it's starting to hurt!

Morale is always lifted by a bit of homegame blackjack right? Was grinding with Jack, PJ and Thigh and Mitch and Stato joined us after their Noel Gallagher concert. They love blackjack A LOT and we seem to be playing more and more regularly with each other. And the stakes and swings are creeping up too.

I can't stop myself because a) it's loads of fun and b) since we take it in turns to be the "house", it's neutral EV, or perhaps even +EV since PJ and Mitch are basic strategy fish and I generally bet small when I'm not the house, and take large bets when I am the house - so in should actually be +EV.

In theory. I just run so so bad at it, it's a joke! And not a funny one. Unless you're Mitch, PJ or Stato. I lost a really unacceptable amount of money to lose to your mates pissing about in the living room. Wakeup call perhaps. But it's + or 0EV!? it's just more variance to add to the MTT rollarcoaster and staking operation etc etc...

I'm not saying any of these events had anything to do with this decision, but I was fairly easily convinced to sit at 5/10euro on .FR and try and get out of it that way. I made sure I watched the game first to see if there was any fish - we saw one guy peel a 3bet with 62hh and another guy do some things that seemed bad, so I decided to flick in 1k and see how it goes. About 5 hands in we got dealt Kings in the sb and the button opened to 25, we 3bet to 100, he 4bet to 250 and we jammed 1k.

He had AK...

Losing that pot would've meant by biggest ever losing day, but I fortunately held, and am now going to bed not feeling too bad - but not sure how to feel about all the degeneracy going on at the moment. I don't really see the harm in 0ev gambling if it's done in small doses and not just gambling for the sake of it. Does seem a bit ridiculous sometimes though. But it's so fun! I think we should cap the bets/have enforced stop losses. We did it for a bet about 12 months ago and it worked OK. £200 cap per day per person. I don't know whether Mitch and Stato would agree to that though!

Anyway, watched a disturbing program just now called I'm Spazsticus on 4OD. No idea how something like that gets through these days. Wasn't really funny at all, very cruel and bizarre.

Watched the 1989 Batman with Jack Nicholson in - pretty sick! It's obv pretty terrible compared to the latest trilogy, but I bought the old school ones because I just love Batman and everything about it so wanted to check them out. It's got the John Williams soundtrack too (guy who wrote the Star Wars theme) which is pretty cool, pretty close if not better than Hans Zimmers.

Your TR report is not totally true now is it Alex, in the first 20 mins of the 700 wcoop you played 3 hands, you tried to rep the flop each time and each time you got called, your turn bets were weak and didn't make any sense so you ended up spewing 100k with the blinds at 3k/6k. You then had your KK V's AJ, you started that hand with just under 80k. You lost and had 20k left when the blinds were still 3k/6k. If you are going to paint a picture of how/why you didn't run deep into a tournament on day two its best to tell the whole truth. Not something that excuses your bad play. You played those first 3 hands badly. You had a starting stack of just under 180k and you rushed the early period of the tournament.

I have watched you a number of times on stars and I've been interested at your TR, they clearly don't represent the "truth"............... so, unlucky with the KK hand but lets have the correct detail behind some of your poor poker plays.

Kind regards.
