The tale of Sean "zerofive" Belton getting in £478 preflop with an offsuited Jack and Four.

Lost for wards right now!

Not got time work it out but this could be one of those he knows that Sean knows and Sean knows that Alex knows kinda things and therefore as Sean knows Alex love of the J2o then it's +ev as J4o < J2o as it can make a higher straight if required!!

Yeah sounds like it was played perfect. There just are not that many times that you can trap Alex like that Smiley

He had AT. There was about 15 rivers I would've bluffed and I don't think he can call on those rivers, and 5 rivers that give me the best hand, so that's about half the deck. Wouldn't play the hand any differently. Getting about 7:1 implied on hitting my 5-outer also (assuming he doesn't fold on these rivers which is fair enough since they are both massive bricks) which means when I miss and the river comes a diamond, 7 or 9, the river bluff only needs to work quite a small %age of the time to make the turn call profitable.

Alex, I think you should be aiming for a minimum of one video per cash session.

Often the highlight of the diary for me

Yeah he got a bit of a bollocking for taking that video. Can only be good PR a lot of the time though. Agreed they are hilarious; would be good to always have the camera on standby to capture the buildup to some of these incredible and organic situations.

def awful etiquette in a casino.

theres a reason alot of people like to be 'anon' on updates, and why casinos have the big bit at the bottom that says tick this if you never want to receive anything from us so no one knows etc when you sign up.

it's not like the people inside both playing and non have signed disclosure agreements.

Poker at Alea is dead. Shame, really.

Gala 50/1 is £40 min, £300 max. Games are normally a bit shit and full of bowls, but we got the right mix of the looser regs and plenty of team eureka last night.
