just to confirm on this subject about the "the hand" at DTD the other night.;

1. I addressed this situation privatley, not in front of any raibirds.
2. There were 3 parties involved, The player who said the comment, the player that made a fuss, and the player that lost the pot, I have all spoken to seperately and personally.
3. None of the 3 parties were Team Eureka
4. Parties 1 and 2 asked me to apologise to party 3, and will do so in person. There was an immediate apology and a number of handshakes after the incident, but I spoke further with player players involved.

I think Bangbang will verify this was done personally by me.

Everything is under the microscope at DTD, sigh, its probably what keeps out standards so high, but its hard bloody work justifying yourself 24-7!

Cheers Rob

Hopefully, the missus wants to go to Shopping with her friends, so she'll get the credit card and I'll get some freedom...  Smiley Curly and the baby control my life ATM...

Don't beat yourself up Rob i know for a fact you dislike this kind of behaviour and that any issue like this would be fully dealt with by yourself.
In all fairness the behaviour of the poker players in DTD is by far the best i have witnessed while playing poker and i have never felt threatened while in the club
but then Sinclair is a great doorman.

And Alex one of my friends i had not seen for ages is now the top man at Kellogg's
i gave him a few ideas while drunk. Sure he was really happy about that.
I know you love your cereals too so any ideas let me know will pass them on.

Good luck in Latvia i may have to pop into DTD this weekend now will only have to
beat rastafish for all the monies so at least second place is locked surely.

One very quick point i will make which is more an observation by me than any sort of constructive point but...

One thing i have noticed occassionally is when quite keen slightly less experienced players come to cash tables like those at DTD i think a lot are slighhtttly put off playing because the atmosphere is a LOT more casual than they might be used to which appears odd when more money is at stake. i am 100% guilty of not being fully aware of this.

a good example of this at the big 500 i was playing a cash game and a guy sat down clearly not very experienced with live cash games. there was a hand between me and a guy iv k own for a while on the river the pot was £1600 and he had £65 left. i elected on the end just to table my hand and save him the last bit, i was winning he was losing etc pretty stnd. combined with the fact me and linton were fucking about a bit lead him to accuse me of collusion. i was a little offended but can actually see his point and it made me wonder how many players like hi  have felt this way and not played again as a result.

And this after saying 'fun friendly enviroments' are what the game needs. i guess this needs to be very subtle, flexible and monitored all the time by the games regs.

Its so easy when youre so used to playing poker with people you know to remember to consider other peoples perceptions of your behavior. i know 100% im guilty of this but thats a result of mostly playing with people i actually really like.

trigg recently had a similar experience to this and someone not even in the hand got it declared dead.

Dtd is a million times to better to play poker at and I am really suprised how little aggro you find there. I can only think of a handful of times there has been any sort of kick off and if it ain't been me involved its always been Ronaldo. Gotta say that after Frankie, Ronaldo is one ofy favourite characters in that card room. Thinking about it I ain't seen him the last couple of times. Is he ok.

Off to Latvia now oioi!

I stayed at Raddisson Blu, real nice hotel has a Casino and has a deece cocktail bar on the top floor called the Sky bar. Best views in Riga and incred strawberry daquiris. Take a look.

As other people said Riga can be dodge but just do the normal things and don't draw too much attention by flashing too much cash in clubs etc. Also much better during week when there isn't a million stag dos down the old town.
