Ronaldo in Derby. Hope he gets back in Dtd soon.
I think I'd rather share a bed with a mate than stop in another hotel.
Occured to me that the reason Ian has not gone with you is because PJ is away.

It's just a shorthand way of Alex writing "my friends and I", we're not having action figures made or anything.
Yeah this. TBH I think it sounds a bit gay but it does actually serve a pretty practical purpose.

This is the first time I’m posting so with the risk of being lynched I will post some of my observations.
I’m not a regular cash game player but I do play the tournaments regularly at dtd and have been for the last two years. There are a few reasons why I hardly ever play cash at dtd mostly to do with my bankroll and the time the games get going. But I witnessed something the other day at dtd that has made me never want to play cash poker there again. I’ll leave out names.
There was a PLO game going with a few regs and a few other recreational players Rob Yong was playing on the table too. Not sure what happened in the hand but two players were all in and around 2k in the middle and I was told that one of the players got extremely lucky, instead of the rest of the table staying quiet respecting the fact that someone just lost a lot of money another player who wasn’t in the hand gets up and celebrates. The player that won the pot then says “I enjoyed that it’s personal” a short exchange of words ensues I stand around because it looks like it’s getting heated and it’s not everyday you’ll see an ex boxer fight someone who looks like an ex con in a poker club. The players that celebrated were obviously friends and I have seen them regging the big games at dtd and the other player was obviously not friends with them got up and left. I’m not sure why this behavior was allowed and why none of the staff said anything at all, I was also surprised that Rob Yong didn’t even pipe in and tell the players to show some respect.
So all this stuff about the regs not being cliquey and showing respect to other players goes out of the window for me. Had this been the other way around and it was the recreational player that had won the pot and one of his friends got up and celebrated in that way the card room manager would have been called over. Now imagine that you were sitting on the Black Jack table and lost a couple of grand and the pit boss immediately celebrated, would you ever go back to that casino? Instead winning or losing at a casino the punter is always shown respect and in some cases gets free stuff just to keep them coming back.
I’m in the states so I will reply when I get a chance
Listen to me bigdick/danre, i dont look like an EX CON i am an ex con. Regarding the hand i was 100% out of order, you was taking that much notice that you didnt see me apologise more than once, shake the mans hand, then apologise to rob for behaving like that in the club. Ive played in dtd a long time and never acted like that before. If you have anything else to say about the matter please do not hide behind your laptop, come and see me in person. I will be in wednesday night.
<3 Kurt post more plz. We 've all had outbursts that we ain't particually proud of.

No problem, we all have our moments to be honest it shouldn't have even been mentioned on Alex's blog or in any public forum... Ignore Bigdon some people just like to cause trouble.. See you tomorrow, maybe I can win some of that money back...

Hi kurt, nice to see you on blonde. We've played a few times together at DTD.
As everyone says, you've already done the right thing by apologising straight the way. We all screw up sometimes, men apologise and get over it.

Day three of this very focussed business trip and we actually played some poker today. Only fancied playing a few levels of the 200side though, felt like a nap since sharing with Keith = no sleep whatsoever cos of his ridic snoring, sigh.
Went out again tonight, was gonna take it easyish since playing the main tomorrow and I just can't hack three nights in a row, but Sam Macdonald arrived today oioi and was having none of it, we got on it hard - upgrading our "baby Guinness" and "red headed slut" shots to sambuca and jaeger - much more brutal, much more punishment. In bed by 430am local time so plenty of sleep for the main 2mora if I can sleep through the sound of this freight train next to me...
Lost another big meal flip sigh, #doingchunks, hope to make a run in the main, or ideally PJ win it so I can spend the rest of the trip going out with the boys while he puts in the hard graft
I don't feel guilty for this attitude I have on some trips - I play LOADS of poker in Nottingham, very rarely have days off so don't mind relaxing and "playing hard" on trips since I know I'll grind really hard when I get back.
Would really like a Latvian flag though! Keith got one today in the side event, super jealous. Sold 30% of myself in the main, it's 1100euros and is expected to get about 250 runners so it's monte Carlo sized
Win please!

Went to Dtd tonight. Played with Mr Gasgoine, shot the breeze with Mr Giblin, had a laugh with Kurt all in a very friendly, relaxed atmosphere. I even took a stroll over to the cash tables and noticed a couple of 4 way limped pots going down. Much fun was being had by everyone. Just saying
By the way why did you not invite that twat Walster to Riga?
