His post basically said that you need to play on the internet to win at poker so you're constantly adapting/keeping up with new trends in poker. Do you agree?

You mate- you seem to be going through a tough time with poker (sorry it I'm being out of line) so wondered what your thoughts were? Why do you think this is happening? Variance or is it because you don't play on the net?

Alex

Well played, a deserved result from what I saw, composed at table, willing to gamble in right spots, plus thank you for you charity donation.

Ian Gascoigne - Legend to play on same table as, great laugh.

just spent 20 mins on a post and deleted it. here are the cliffs.

I will never be offended George. I am doubting my game which with me makes me play draws too aggressively and getting married to tptk & trips etc. I had 18 months or so where I satellited into everything and cashed every couple of tournies or so. Obv to keep that going ain't happening but my natural game is fairly low variance. Without doubt not playing on the net so much ain't helping either but I still believe, possibly naively, that plenty of the guys are winning these Dtd, ukipt & Gukpt events who don't play on the internet at all.

A couple of things really opened my eyes lately and they really baked my noodle. One was a lad showing me all the software he is using and the information that he had on me just from Dtd's site. Makes me wonder how I ever won a seat at all.

The other was to do with the live game but I will leave that till I have spoke to Rob.

Maybe I am just bitter at being a loser latley but I am feeling the pressure of providing for the family for the first time in 5 years, that much so I am looking for honest employment. Or at least the wife thinks I am Smiley

I think it's definitely a mistake to look at winners of big live events and think "well he doesn't play online / work on his game / I don't rate him, if he can do it, why can't I?".

i am not saying that. I am results driven, which maybe wrong but I watched Gosney/Mallu getting the lot for years and now I see Wigglesworth, Rastafish yourself ( although you have migrated more to the dark side ) being so consistant
