We were discussing yesterday some of the perks of playing poker professionally. The subject came up when a lady at the table was gobsmacked about the tax laws on casino winnings.

One of the perks that I forgot to mention, which I've brought up around my muggle friends quite frequently, is office politics. How sweet it is to not have people bitching about one another at the water cooler, how sweet it is to not have to worry what they're saying about you while you're bringing them coffee at lunch, who's sleeping with who, who's got a brown nose, who's next in line. The general attitude in poker is positivity toward one another, especially between friends at the table.

Hopefully nobody I've mentioned that to is reading this thread.

I know what I said wasn't ground breaking advice. It was aimed at some of the new players whom I felt it would benefit. They wouldntve read it elsewhere so sort of irrelevant that it had already been said.

Tbf I'm new to the forum and found the post that started off the spat pretty informative and insightful.
