Marbella update:

No good for day 1b, for me or deadman. I went down then up again then back to starting stack, then ran AK into JJ for like 50bbs vs the only other aggro player on the table, he opened, btn flatted I 3bet bb, he 4bet I jammed, he called, was standard. Apart from the me losing part, that was weird.

Anyway, Deadman instabooked the next flight home so is out of here, I'm sticking around to enjoy the place.

Spent the morning crushing Mitch at table tennis for 60euros, chilling by the pool, went to the gym (!), jacuzzi and then had lunch with Mitch Keith and Keys before they went off for Day 2.

Gonna have a brief siesta then play 2/5 cash game all night I think. Mitch won 4k last night playing 5/10 in an incred sounding game so might take a shot if I'm feeling good.

Being out the poker might suck, but 'sticking around to enjoy the place' I imagine most certainly does not.

Just watched the Tony G thing - was that it?  Really?  OK - it's poor behaviour, but I have had worse from manager's at work.  It's TV needle.  Toby handles it really well though, it's imo definitely one of the best ways to deal with these types of attitude.  I have a good one lined up for anyone who tries the needle tonight.  I'm going to put a dummy in my pocket, bend down and palm it as if picked up of the floor, and let them know they dropped it/offer it back.  Hoping I return with both eyes the same colour as when I went.

Pool is massive too.

Convenient, given that you brought a couple of whales with you.

see em all the time, these kids come up, run like god on the internet chasing rainbows on the dark blues, take shots in the big live games with the sicko's just dominating the blues pinks and oranges and get printed.

Then you see 'em by the toilets telling anyone who'll listen how this luckbox missed park row when he had a hotel on it by 1 square 3 times running, then finally hit it after he'd mortgaged the lot to pay for a 3week stay at The Angel Islington - THIS AIN'T A BAD BEAT CENTRE KID.

Too good Cheesy

kid did good.

In for monopoly league.

Blues into Oranges and Pink's for the win - anything else is clearly a joke.

So got back from Marbella today. Was a great trip. Being out of the main so quickly meant it felt like the closest thing to an actually holiday than I've had in ages. Most of the trips are poker orientated, ranging between 90/10 poker/holiday and 60/40 I guess. This was definitely weighted more towards holiday.

It was so relaxing. The spanish climate at this time of year is probably the absolute nut climate of anywhere in the world at any time of year. It's perfect-  not too hot in the heat of the day that you need to be inside, but hot enough in the evening that you can eat outside in shorts/teeshirt and drink by the pool at night and be pleasantly cool.

Played lots of table tennis too which was great, just relaxed and had a laugh with the boys, and met a few new people too.

Had one big night out a couple of nights ago...was top quality...Too many girls around Marbella look like they should be on TOWIE and the blokes are the same - really really awful characters.

Poker went pretty bad for the group, terrible for me. Dipped my toe in the 5/10 pool last year and lost 1500 (obv nothing in that game, but was a shot and a lot of actual money). Lost it to a guy who cold called a huge 3bet in the sb, then called it off when the bb cold 4bet jams 900, the 3bet rejams, he just flicked it in like a boss with 62s and makes a straight Cheesy

Next hand he cold calls my 3bet with J5s and flopped a flush on Kxx vs my AK, I can't fold to him so stack off, pretty cold.

Oh well, this week is a big big week for me. I've been looking forward to the next Monte Carlo tournament for over a year, and the week is going to be epic. Sick cash games, so many heroes around, and the tournament itself is going to be sick. Would be unbelievably awesome to make another run at it. ONE TIME!

Monte Carlo is your tournament Alex.  May your week be profitable.

Like the sound of Marbella.  I have family who live nearer to Benidorm I think; I didn;t realise who far apart they are until I just Googled Maps'd it.  Have done Fuengirola as a kid.  Costa Del Sol is appealing and don't know why I don't look there for holidays.

5 Blonde Diarists, one infamous lil blogger, one octochamp and a member of the Gascoigne family. What could go wrong?

Going to be so many levels upon levels and ridic needling / banter going on at all times.

Since I've organised it I also have 100% licensing rights so updates HERE AND ONLY HERE Cheesy

stato has to play football between 830 and 1030 so guess you could playover him for that time. and yes, you can be first reserve no problem.
