Picture of someone's boobs is not exactly what I meant when I said I need something interesting to read.
You're either reading wrong diary, or you have wrong British boyfriend (try Fred, he's amazing)

I don't mind stepping up to the plate for comparison purposes.
Your diary is a good read to be fair.
Too smart by half.

Yes as Mitch hints, I will be mixing business with pleasure in a few weeks in Barcelona. Victoria and I have a week in Italy (Florence then Tuscany with my Dad) and we're flying straight from there to Barcelona were she will meet her dream man Mitch, and his boyfriend Stato, nice guy Deadman and new baller on the block Fred.
We have an apartment for 8 nights there, can't wait for it to be honest, though pretty sure Victoria isn't joking when she says she finds Mitch really sexy and I know Mitch isn't joking!

It's just struck me that the Edinburgh festival is to comedians what the WSOP is for professional poker players. They all go there trying to make some money, nobody ever does except Vegas/ the venues, they get to meet/hang out with all of the top people in their field, they all rent apartments for the month, eat badly and generally misbehave. The pros are there all month, but the punters turn up for just a few days and have a good time.
Wasn't sure where to announce to the world this blinding insight, so I've decided to preserve it for posterity here.

Despite being insanely careful about what I write, who I write about, the style in which I write, I've heard some pretty nasty things about how people perceive this and other blogs and apparently it's part of the reason the games in nottingham have died. People don't want to be written about.
Show me a post in the past 2 years where I've disrespected anybody, spoken badly about someones play, anything like that. I just don't do it. I don't use the term "fish" or "whale" or "bowl" or anything like that. I don't brag, and I don't moan (much
). And if I do then it's just in my usual self deprecating writing style.
I was pretty upset about the things I heard and if that's really put people off then I just can't believe it, I've no idea how that could have happened.
I've had the usual "oh you guys all live together and share a bankroll" nonsense too. That's another reason why people don't want to play apparently. I mean we go after each other so hard it's a joke, it's literally the opposite of playing together. Trust me, a lot of groups of friends who play in the same games soft play each other - we are literally the opposite. And there's no giving money back at the end of the night lol. And anyone that plays with us knows that we really want to whack each other, and you can see on our faces that it hurts every time we even fold to a 3bet let alone get stacked by each other! People are always gonna have their suspicions I guess but it's just the same people that think online poker is rigged anyone that's played a lot with us like Ian Gascoigne, Kurt, Jim Moult, Neil Giblin all know that we want each others money just as much if not more than anyone else's.
We are also not all staked by Keith and Keys. They stake most of them (not me) for TOURNAMENTS, not cash games.
I've been really trying to play in a more friendly style lately too. Much more limping, peeling, rather than 3betting and isolating, and been really trying to encourage other regs to do the same. We're all a very friendly bunch and will have a laugh with anyone that sits at our table.
Wow I just came on to write about Edinburgh and look what happened.

I've decided to turn it more into a blog than a diary, with regularly long updates, say once a week or twice a week rather than short posts.

It's getting pretty ridiculous having a diary, feel like a politician having to talk to the press.
