I always loved writing this blog over the Vegas period, so I wanted to bring it back to life for my trip to Sin City this year.
I fly tomorrow, and am there until I bust the main.
Feeling excited, hopeful and confident - but it doesn't have that same buzz about it this year. It's my 4th trip, and 3rd WSOP, so the novelty isn't really there anymore, but I've always loved it there, and never wanted to go home whenever I've been there, so I'm sure I'll have a blast.
It's going to be a bit different crowd too, no Mitch, no Keith - two big characters in the group, so they'll be missed. In their place is Fred, who'll provide huge entertainment for all with his ridiculous swings and lifestyle. We're staying in Palms Place, with a bunch of the Manchester lot (Steve Warbs, Andreas etc) and also Jack Allen is losing his Vegas Virginity this year, he's staying there with Liam Batey, so they'll feature in the updates I'm sure.
My schedule is pretty relaxed, but planning to play all $1k and $1500 events both WSOP and others (Wynn main, Aria main etc) with some cash in between, some Open Face Chinese also, and the main event.
Hopefully I'll be able to deliver some decent content here and it won't be all poker reports, though again, it's a grind trip for me - I'm so hungry for a big result, and I've had plenty of time off and holidays over the last 6 weeks, so I will be working hard and getting my head down.
OK, I better start packing...
