I have a disgusting confession to make. I quite like this song:
My ears are bleeding.

Trust me. It's a grower. When I first heard it I shared similar views. You have been warned

Went Thorpe Park today for the first time ever. Been Alton Towers, Drayton manor and Wicksteed park tons of times. Really enjoyed it and the weather was boiling. Left Ace and Rio with their Aunt and me Esme, Kieran and Shelley embarked on our mini adventure. Me and Esme are daredevil riders who will go on anything (will come to that later) whereas Shelley and Kieran need gentle coaxing and sometimes a lot of persuasion
Went on:
Tidal Wave- a large version of a log flume with one large drop. You get soaked!
Saw the ride- Went on this twice. My fave- really is a awesome rollercoaster
Nemisis Inferno- just as good as the Nemesis at Alton Towers- rode the front which was cool
Log Flume- Again got soaked
Slammed- Well not quite. The shame of it. Kieran and Shelley ducked out. It's a ride which goes upside down which I'm not always keen on but I'll pretty much go on anything. However when I saw that the restraints were pretty shit. I bottled it. Esme went on her own.
Stealth was closed due to technical faults which was a shame as it looks like a pretty awesome roller coaster.
All in all a great day out- pretty knackered now tho

Signs that I am getting old #2
I, at some point which is unknown to me, use the little handle attached to ceiling of cars when Shelley is driving.

Pmsl. I caught myself doing this the other day and even asked myself if I looked cool

Think I'm going to do a Paul Ho/Camel and take a break from this place.
I'm getting mildly annoyed at little things. maybe it's sign number 2 of getting old. I'll probs be back posting within the week but we'll see. Might help me focus on grinding.

Stealth is the best rollercoeaster i have ever been on shame it was closed, it lasts about 5 seconds or whatever and it is viciously fast. Like rita at alton towers actually but maybe a tad better.

Anothe UKIPT another "min cash" Not going to a full report on the comp because I was grinding 20-30 big blind stack for most of the comp so not too many interesting hands or spots. Spewed hard halfway through day 1. Shared a table with Dean "deanosupremo" Lyall which was fun.
I've cashed now I think 7 times out of 12 attempts which is really great in one way but kinda poo in another. I finally succumbed to AK vs Aces when 35 bigs deep. I can't complain tho as I do run good on the live pokerstars client:
Aj vs AK AIPF vs Dean. Jack on turn
88 vs QQ for most of my stack on day 2. Flopped a set.
A9 vs KK Blind on blind on the bubble. Rivered a straight
Got some TV time too with one sick sick hand I was involved in. Will save it for when it airs.
Couple of other points. Shared a table with David Vamplew majority of day 2. Guy is probably the best player I have played with live. So focussed and tough. Deffo think he'll add to his EPT title
Also VBOL to Rob Swindells who's just finalled. Great guy- very very good player too. Ship it bud!

Tweeted this yesterday (gb2loose on twitter) yesterday and it's provoked some debate from the great man himself, whom I hope will respond on here:
"I'll never understand all you nits and rocks. How can you even enjoy playing poker?!?!"
Just some context behind why I posted this.
There's a player who plays at the local casino who has done the following in comps recently:
-Folded 10s utg 5 handed as he might run into jacks or ace king
-Raised to 3k with Kings level 1 because he doesn't want to get called by a rag ace
-Basically sits in the comp all night, plays zero flops. Waits for a hand and then just plays showdown poker
I'm not critiquing his play nor am I questioning anyone's strategy- just stating it must be a very boring way of playing.
I remember tom Rutter (numpty dumpty) once said to me being a rock must be a very unhappy existance. You can get immense joy from poker, yes winning tops it all but things like pulling off a huge multi street bluff, making a hero call or getting there with a bad hand fall into this category. Something which the aforementioned player probably never does (yes he's an extreme example but you get my drift)
Thoughts people?

He sounds like a typical local casino donko to me who likes a night out at poker and will do anything to mincash with 2bb or chop 15 ways. Whatever makes people happy, levels and all that....
