Quick catch up:
Eating well- Bit hit and miss. Overall still eating better than I was but lasted properly about 7 days which is shit. Determined to get back on the wagon. Just too easy to get a take away on the way home from a live comp. Need to be disciplined.
Grinding more online and not played any local live comps (apart from one trip to dtd and one to gala).
Has a GOOD Sunday. 4th in the Sunday 2nd Chance for 18k. I played really well and had the chip lead for most of the way. Unlike the deepstack I slowed down a little
and managed to final 4/9. Finished par at 4th which I'm pleased with as I was 6/6 and laddered really well. Just needed that vital double up like in Blackpool but it didn't happen. Confident it will though.
Gonna take 2-3 shots at the grand prix. Also pumped for TCOOP.
LIKE!
Well done Geo, & GL to Shelley in the DTD thingie.

I am playing with confidence and really enjoying the online grind esp during TCOOP. Yet to have a decent run in one of those. Obv saving it for the main

OK so not blogged for a bit. Maybe shouldn't as feeling a little low but w/e.
My backing with Rupert has finished. All amicable. Was Rupert's decision which I fully respect. Like others who have backed I appreciate the vast sums of money people like him put up and the trust the goes with it.
Unfort this has left me at a bit of a crossroads with my poker. I am looking for another backer, however if I don't find one it could be back grinding for bowls. Obv it just takes one result but morale is pretty low atm.
I will take some time to reflect to decide what I want to do. May start playing live again. May just take a huge break from the game.
To end this thread on a more positive note- Shelley played gala 3 times last week (addict) Won 1 cubed on Monday for 500, second on Weds in a 40 quid comp for 230 and in a Sunday 100 which she sattied into for 11 quid she came 6th for 490 quid! May need to ask her for both backing and coaching

Sorry to hear that, Geo.
You might not think this is the time for advice from an old fart, but for a little experiment, try downsizing, playing entirely on your own money but at much smaller stakes. You'll be surprised how satisfying it is, not to mention "fun". And you'll be a permanent winner - in every sense. It's not hard to make money at lower stakes, and it gets you off the "treadmill" of that sort of desperation to bink something big.
As to Live poker, "as you were" imo, you will ALWAYS find plenty of us who want to buy pieces of your action.
Whatever you decide, you are a good guy, & you'll be just fine, karma rarely fails.
xx to Shelley, too.

Nice one George, did Shelley turn it down?
