Obika signs this morning, Agard yesterday, CMS possibly on the move too?
If not good attacking options all round now. Never a massive fan of McLean.

Honestly don't know if they're going to carry on with SprintLine. The other draw bore at Canary Wharf, Bernie Ford, recently left for pastures new also. Someone else could take it on I guess but it's pretty specialised. My bet is they'll have something similar, as they need a tipstering column alongside The Mole, but it'll probably incorporate something else.
Otherwise, it's no secret now that The Raceform Update and The Weekender, the RP's two midweek papers, are merging in the spring, although not sure merging is the right word. That's another reason why the time felt right for me to move on.
But I'm sure a few will have left the G last night believing I'd really been sacked rather than left of my own accord. Funny, I hate talking about that sort of thing, always have, and I didn't even convince myself when telling a couple that I felt it was time for something different.

£1.3m for McLean was the best bit of comedy I've read for a long time. GG Hull.
Hope for CMS's sake he gets a move in January. We're going nowhere this season and he deserves the chance. If Aaron was worth £1.3m, CMS is £3m minimum.
Also think Boydy needs to move on. He's been terrible all season and confidence is shot.
It'll be a shame in a way. McLean-CMS-Boyd have got us hatfuls for a few seasons but it's all about to change. Tomlin is the future. Awesome.

The thing about Sprintline and all that draw bias stuff is that it's ridic hard work to try and stay on top of that yourself so a column is soo ridic valuable to anyone without the time/ analytical skill to do it themselves.
BTW, why is it that the RFO is just SOOO much better than the Weekender yet the Weekender is much more expensive? Is it because Weekender has to pay Tom Segal's ridic salary?

Never risk that much on any one race. Apart from Exeter last month, when boredom got the better of me. First race back over jumps for days and dropped £1.2k. Not much in the greater scheme of things but felt sick for an hour, then went into sulk mode and didn't go play poker as planned. Even though I got it back to around minus a monkey.
I'm a horrible loser (not so much poker), always have been, always will be. Think that's probably a good thing though. This idea that gambling addicts get the same sort of rush from losing as from winning baffles me. I hate losing.
Biggest winner I backed was 210 at Hexham about five years ago. Betfair was so much easier IR then. Before the on-course boys and fast-pic boys tightened everything up.
Managed to get around £20 matched. Leaders were close to collpasing and just caught a glimpse of something finishing well as they went to the last fence. Asked for £50 odd at 20 and got £20 odd matched at 210! Pleasing enough.
Layed a load of 1.01 losers. Could write a book on 1.01 backers and how I feel about them.

I know a couple of guys who have made fortunes backing 1.01 - 1.03 shots on betfair.
Like everything else it's got alot harder recently, but if you know what your doing you can win at the game.
If you are taking 1.01 about a 1.001 shots you will win long term.
