Thanks Alex, for beating us 0 - 1 in the FA Cup 3rd round with that Mark Robins header when you were allegedly 1 game away from getting the sack!

Ruined my childhood that did!

Would he have retired if he didn't win the title this season?

Was wondering if he would've gone last year had United won it

I kind of felt he was just waiting for 1 more. First priority to have more titles than Liverpool, but then you don't leave when your biggest rivals win the league, so regaining the title and making it a nice round 20 made it a perfect time to retire.

Does anyone know what his annual salary was, as Club Manager?

£6.5m seems to tally with some other sites' estimation.

Blimey.

Thanks Vince.

I asked Tighty this question on Sunday, & he came up with a VERY different figure, unless I misunderstood him.

Sir Alex must be a very wealthy man, unless he has some serious spending habits.

Like horses, wine or a fascination with the assassination of JFK?

If I told you I had a copy of the Warren Report on my bedside table, you'd probably not believe me, but it's true. Right alongside "Abuse of Power, the Watergate Tapes".

Each to their own, eh?

That is THE spookiest thing.

I was completely unaware of that when I made that Post.

What were the chances of that?

And no, my copy of the Warren Report was not signed by anyone. Pfft.

My copy of "Abuse of Power" must be the tattiest & most dog-eared book I possess, not helped by its sheer bulk, & the amount of times I have read it. In the history of daft things, nobody ever did anything dafter than Nixon setting up a system to tape every convo in his Office.* It was that which led to his demise.

* On second thoughts, the whole Watergate affair was probably the daftest thing ever ever ever.

Ferguson is fascinated with JFK. He said he kept JFK's autopsy report by his bed. He also has a copy of the Warren Report signed by [the former US president] Gerald Ford.

I sleep arm's length from my Billy bookcase. However, not an autopsy, nor a conspiracy theory to be found.

Sir Alex Ferguson's hip replacement operation has been cancelled after a bladder problem was diagnosed after he pissed himself watching the F.A Cup Final.
