I played in Galway, and played to 12th (Blantant Brag) and last session on TV table; no requirement for Stars logo to that point - Strummer from Badbeat got asked to tape his over, however my understanding was that was only because it was an inch or so too big and not because it wasn't stars...
TBH - Galway impeccably well organised, great dealers, great format, structure - so IMO hard to criticise...(I am a freeloader that loved the hoody, cap, mousemat, etc and the entry to a freeroll in which I binked DTD seat). They do it well

Cant ever see Stars getting arsey over this tbh. Also sponsored players don`t ever buy in on their software as you will be known as `pokerstars player` on their updates.
Don`t think your sponsor would be very happy about that in any case.

Why say you are unbiased when you obviously are. You are being petty trying to rubbish an excellent tour whilst trying to big up your dying one.
I hope channing answers the phone.

obv has apoint tho cos...the stacks for alternates was a complete fuck up day 1a. i think geoff is flogging a dead horse if he thinks anything other than stars taking over is gonna happen. also with dtd having more £1k monte carlo events then this will undoubtedly kill off gukpt. jon rabb aint no rat but the old saying about sinking ships etc. imo only thing that can save gukpt is appointing super dena as head honcho. zac for 2nd in command and let ian be sharky or valet.

One tour is run by a casino which never provide what you want, the other is run by an online force with a birrion people that can satellite in. Just let the grosvenor tour die, hopefully we'll get more poker clubs like DTD as opposed to management run profit hoovers.

Why?
Like I'd want to waste valuable time being bored by either of you when I'm chilling with the Glenfiddich Gang

I have never understood why if you win a sat on any site you should be expected to wear their logo. You use your money to win the seat and pay them rake at every point. If the sats were rake free or they added money then fair enough but they don't. There is no other sport or game in the world where the players are exploited in the way that (unsponsored) poker players are. Almost no casino ever adds money yet for every tourney that we PAY to enter we effectively sign away image rights etc. My nephew is a decent footballer (sick brag I know) and ever since he first signed schoolboy forms has had control over his image rights and they are a decent part of his contract now.

I asked the person who runs the tour how to buy in, she told me u can only do it online but made sure I knew she's be asking me to wear a pokerstars patch from the moment I sat down. Sponsored players who aren't being bought in directly to the event they are playing need to but in somehow, if they don't live near teh casino the event is playing in, and the casino isn't part of a chain they can get to locally, then they have to find another way, which is why I posted asking how else it couldl be done.
My sponsor wouldn't be happy with that appearing, that's why I asked if it could be done differently, apologies if that didn't come across clearly

I see u didn't quote me as saying I was unbiased, interested to know why that was? Possibley because it's not the case but it sounds good if u say it? I don't have a tour, I don't get anything out of supporting one tour or another, personallly I hope they both flourish, and many more, as I like playing good tournaments in england, and I dno why any poker player would want one to die, the more the merrier don't u think?
I merely pointed out facts betwee the two tours that I think are unfair in one and are beneficial in the other. If u want to base anything u say on fact rather than things that u think are 'obvious' but are basically untrue, pls fill your boots

There was defo a mistake in the alternates in manchester so I hear, these things happen. I think in galway the ukipt seat draw didn't appear random and all stars pros were sat beside each other, all the leaderboard winners were beside each other, pals who bought in together were sat next to each other. These things happen unfortunately, at the end of the day it doesn't affect matters too much, esp if it's fixed quick. As it happens the same thing happend to me in the wsop mauin event last year, hey ho. You'd have to ask Jon if he left because he thought it was a 'sinking ship' but I know that wasn't the reason he left. He had set up and taken a new idea as far as he thought he could and wanted to and should be congratulated for such astute thinking and wished well in his new venture.
What do u think changing the superiority of the tds would do? Zac is the best td in the UK as far as I've seen, and I think I've played under every one. Even if people disagree with that, and obv that is a matter for discussion, I don't see the td as being a major problem for the gukpt, do u? U think if dena was promoted above zac that would change things how?
