It's a shame they can't find room for something that isn't Hold 'em.

Is there a guarantee?
I'm assuming the final of the main event is on the Monday, correct?

It's a Stars event so what does it matter if there's a gte
Rob was saying he's hopeful to get 1000 runners for this.
Will be playing Day 1b most likely and might try to sat into the high roller event.

should be an awesome event and a high roller event, will be intersting to see how many enter. If there is any downside to the UKIPT tour its the low buy ins for regular tour players a high roller event might attract more big name players. I will play main event and high roller if I get knocked out.

After much searching I've found the direct buy in section on the PokerStars site, which lists this event as £560 + £0....seems good, juice free. On the UKIPT site it's listed as £500 + £60 tho...which one is right? Shouldn't this be made clearer.
I'm not one to take sides, being biased n all, but as Tikay said in his diary, some of the criticism of the GUKPT goes way over the top when the important stuff (money!) is better there. If you buy in on Blue Sq/GCasino you pay no juice in any main event or side events, saving u £70 on the £1000 + £70 mains if u buy in at the casino. Seems a no brainer to me.
Much worse, I contacted someone at Stars, and apparently if I do pay my £560 of my hard earned money, be it £500 + £60 or £560 + £0 (there is a big diff) I will be forced to wear a Stars badge throughout the whole tournament. So they give me nothing, I give them my business and they force me to wear their branding for the pleasure. If you buy into a GUKPT u can wear what you like while spending the £70 u woulda spent as juice on beer if u so wish.
IS there a way round this, buying in through DTD, or on their site? Anyone know if it's a £500 comp with £60 juice or it's £560 with no juice as they say on their poker client. Gonna ring Channiig now for his take on why this tour is so much better, hmmmm

Really? That's just ridic..Hell, that's even more ridic than having to wear the badges for sites that you qualify on for the WSOP IMO.
