That article you showed me is a little vague mate.
Also although his results this year on the pga tour are hardly awe inspiring, 44th, 33rd, 10th and 24th, they aren't atrocious, just very poor by his standards. This is his back yard, his baby if you like, not been out of the top 6 here since 2004.
12-1 just seems value, if you'd like to offer me some 14s first 6 ill gladly have some more on!

Sigh, Nico... Keep plugging away, bink around the corner!!!
Unlucky Karab and Horner also..
Cheers m8, bit punch drunk from all these 2nds but meh.
New balance is now 89.60 points.
Seriously doubt ill bet this week.
Masters time means time to return to the golf bets.
Already have
fred couples i
n my portfolio for
1 pt ew@125s
from ages bk, now with 6 places available and 150s around i'm already saying grrrr.
Just added woods, the 12-1 price seems unreal especially with the 6 places available ew. The guy is ALWAYS around at augusta, i cannot see him not giving me a sweat here. Mick's resurgance in form and great form at the crse is prob a major fact in the woods price too, well yeah phil will challenge but most still wont. You can either play this crse well or u cant at all-dsnt seem much in btwn, and ill take the proven form here all day long. Backed it now as i only seee his price coming in before thursday.
2.5 pts ew Tiger Woods@12-1 (first 6 places)
Balance=84.60 points.
i just don't see woods having the control to win round here at the moment, punishments are heavy. I'd have said the same about mick before last week though.....

Cheers for link, see your point, but then it's all about value isn't it, if woods was 20-1 i'm sure we'd all pile on, just seems an overreaction even at 12s for someone who is normally very skinny odds for this, if his mind stays right he can still win this.
I hope! lol

best week of the year for golf fans imo.
Masters bets:
M Kaymer 2.5e/w @ 22/1
#1 in world rankings, drives it long, irons are solid putts like a dream and has ice running through his veins! how is he 5th in the betting?
B Watson 1.5 e/w @ 40/1
Bubba's gonna Bubba! very long has all the shots more imagination than 10 average tour pro's put together and has that long hard cut off the tee which being lefthanded will suit augusta perfectly. almost guaranteed to be at the top of birdies and eagles made just needs to avoid too many disasters.
F Molinari 1 e/w @ 80/1
great ballstriker, short putting was awful last week but he does have great touch on the longer ones and is a much underated chipper will finish top 6 more than 1 in 20 imo
A Quiros .5 e/w @ 125/1
decent form this year, very long which always helps short game can be a bit iffy but a fun outsider.
11pts staked bank now 69pts after baddeley's place in houston.

Nice thoughts there mate.
Think kaymer is 5th in betting due to missing cut each of 3 times he has played course. But certainly not one to count out, ice in veins comment particularly agree with!

just in case it comes in, we have been bundling on Chris Kirk, 150/1 when we started backing him and he's a lot shorter now.
been winning on other tours and outplaying recent pga tour breakthroughers Vegas and Two glove bloke.
Just remembered this, did you not stick with him and get on ew this wknd?
Wonder what price he was, least he didn't win if you gave up! Nice highlight though, looks one to keep an eye on 4 sure.

So total after Houston bets was 162, +24 return from Baddeley, balance is 186
FWIW, my Masters thoughts
I've already backed Kaymer and although I dont mind having him on my side am only luke warm on him now.. He is definately overpriced imo compared so some of the other market leaders, and if in contention obv has the minerals. Win only has to be the play with the course doubts. I read some stuff from some good judges suggesting his ball flight is too flat for Augusta, bit technical for me, but kind of makes sense given his record here compared with say his links record where a flatter ball flight is a big advantage. He's the #1 in world though and is not the same player as in previous years so we'll see. 2pts win @ 20/1
My other pre tourny pick was YE Yang, who bombed in Houston and has since missed his flight on way to Augusta meaning a long car journey through the night apparently!!! Not sure what to make of that, but whatever.. Has some course form to call on, and was in decent nick early in the year 1pt EW @ 100/1
Had a good look over the weekend and ended up having a decent bet on Adam Scott. I really think he's going to have a big week. Tee to green he nailed everything last year, and it was only his putting that let him down - Which is generally his weakness, and I know you need to be hot with the putter to win this, but he's started using this broomstick and seems alot happier with it.. He had a good finish last time out at Doral with the new putter so who knows, he could get it going. He's definately going to put himself in a position to make lots of birdies though so I'll take a chance @ 90/1 and 110+ on betfair. I was a bit worried that he hadn't played for few weeks but found an article over the weekend saying he had been camped out a Augusta for last couple of weeks playing extra practice rounds instead of compettion.... Cant be a bad thing in my mind, and really think he's going to be challenging. 2pts EW @ 90/1
I've been swaying between getting with Watney or not... Price is short enough but might get involved.. He's got potential to shoot v low, so maybe back to lay material. Still think he has questions to answer about getting the job done, despite doing me a favour in doral obv
Looking elsewhere.. I want to get Westwood beat in the gb and ireland market... poor fav imo
Kaymer and Yang were already included in total, -4 on Scott, new balance is 182pts

I haven't had a bet with Ladbrokes online or on the phone for about 4 years.
Got an email from them today, giving me a free £500 bet on the Masters!
I don't follow golf as closely as I used to, but I think Westwood is going to win a major sooner rather than later, he has a decent Austa record, there are doubts about one or two of the market leaders and he looked to be coming into form at Houston last week and Ladbrokes are joint best price.
So, Westie it is for at 16/1.

I've added 2pts EW Trever Immelman (Top Rest of the World) @ 20/1
Obviously this goes against my outright bet on Scott, but think its a good bet in its own right.. 4 places paid in this market which makes it appealing. Great Masters record and coming into some form. Laddies are 12/1 which is much nearer the mark
Also, added 4pts Win Nick Watney @ 18/1 in outright market, depending how things go, I'll be looking to lay some of this off
Total:- 174pts
