I know it sounds a bit lame, but I would love to go to India and set up a hostel for street children.

I'd like to be involved in the day to day running of the place rather than be just a name behind the scenes.

I'd also like to help the entrepreneurial ones (Of which their are many) to set up their own small businesses, and fund higher education for those with academic aspirations.

Good idea, but you'd be home because of sickness within 6 months, I promise  Cheesy

Really? Would I develop immunity eventually?

Dunno, but most guys I know who stayed out there long term have problems and it gets too much eventually. I know 2 guys that came close to dying from illness in India, albeit a few years back.

I guess with 117 million you could wrap yourself in cotton wool though, but that probably defeats the object of being in India in the first place.

So is a holiday in  India much of a risk? (Bearing in mind that I like to see Countries for real, not just the touristy bits)

Your gonna get gut rot of some description for sure, but for a holiday length stay I wouldn't worry about it.

That's OK then. The occasional dose of the threepenny bits is good for the soul.

Tom , I think you would love India. I have been here for 2 years and have only been ill once for a couple of days. If you ever fancy a trip to Goa let me know.

Goa sure is anything resembling real India, its not a bad place for a newb to start their trip though  Smiley

I ve been in India 2 years, seen a little more than Goa, maybe not as much as you though on your fortnight vacation   Smiley
When did you last go? I bet things have changed a lot, although the infastructure is still lacking

Been a couple of times mate for about 2 moths in total. you know damn well what I'm saying so stop arguing  Tongue

Next time you are in Goa, let me know also

Was trying to get to the cricket just now tbh, but holiday time is sparse unfortunately. Doubt I would hit Goa again though, the only reason I went last time was because there was an ODI on there. We didn't even get into the fucking game even though we had tickets, Corrupt fucks! Also the police were smacking the shit out of all the locals with their sticks, which was sort of funny in a sick kind of way even though we were a bit scared at the time  Cheesy

Varanasi was my fav place, proper old India  Smiley

If I ever fancy a trip to Goa, I certainly will let you know. Thank you.

What have you been doing in India for two years? (If you don't mind me asking). The last I heard you were in the States.

What are the games like please? Cash games run often? Stakes?

Also, am I right in thinking there is only one casino in India, and that's the one you're referring to?

Red-Dog, setting up something like you suggested is seriously one of the things I would like to do as well. Maybe if I get involved in something like this in the future, I'll let you know.

Btw, going to India for a holiday is fine. The only thing I suggest is trying not to eat much of their street food. Also drink bottled water. Smiley My picks for you would be Delhi, Punjab and Shimla.

I would have £100m made available to any club from the The Npower Football League 2 on the condition that at least 8 members of the first team perform sex acts on each other (to subsequently be posted on the internet obviosuly.)

They'd get £2m a man and the rest would go to the club. If more than one team came forward, preference would be given to the club nearest the top of the table.

In this way, I would hope to break ground in the fight against homophobia that is endemic within football. No longer can people complain that there are no openly gay men in the league, we can all point to Gillingham as a shining example of progress. We'll have not just a single player, but an entire professional club that love the cock.

If they use the money wisely and get promoted, we'll all know why and it will be a beautiful thing.

The games have improved but still fairly soft. ( but these guys love to gamble  Smiley ).   Cash games every day , usually 3 tables mid-week and 5-6 at week-ends.
When we have a tournament there is usually 9 - 10 tables going, which some run for days.   Table stakes min Rs 100 - 200 upto Rs 1000 - 2000 +   Hold 'em and PLO

There are a few casinos in Goa, Land based casinos are all electronic gaming and all the live gaming is held on ships which are moored very close to land ( approx 500 yds) and never move.

The casino I work in,is the largest   http://www.casinoroyalegoa.com/   (mods feel free to remove link if not allowed )

Next blonde bash imo  Grin

I have 2 memories from Goa (apart from the cricket non-event). Getting absolutely ratarsed on the cashew nut and coconut fenni, uggghhh. And eating the biggest fucking prawns I have ever seen in my life    I'm sure you must have a leaking nuclear reactor close by  Grin

Thanks for the info. I'm likely to be going to India around August time, but don't usually go to Goa. I have a couple of friends who said they wanted to come India as well, so we might go Goa, and I'll be sure to pop in at some point.
