Definite case of YMMV wiring money.  Some people have had zero problems, others have reported having to take markers at pit games and then pressurised by the pit boss to play "I did all the paperwork.."

Take cash.
Take some bank statement/withdrawal receipt to show where it came from
Declare it at first opportunity to Customs, and on the white landing card.  (You can fill the customs form out in LV whilst waiting for baggage carousel to start up)  They won't blink when you say "WSOP"
Feel free to convert some of the cash into high denom chips for ease of pocketing.
Room safes are safe enough for modest amounts, for $50k I'd try and get a lock-box in a poker room/main cage.  These are usually fully booked, esp around WSOP, but depending on where you are staying you should be able to get something.

Going out Friday

Will be playingwinning

4th june 12pm $1,000 nl
or
6th June 12pm $1,500 nl (6max)
or
7th June 12pm $1,500 nl (triple chance)

I am not decided on the 6 max or triple chance yet.  Hopefully, I won't get to play either.

I will be out there from 15th june - 8th july.Maybe going to play a couple of wsop side events and lots of deepstacks plus some 1-2 cash games. Is there any value in the side events or should I stick to the deepstacks at the strip casino's.

Hope to see some of you there.

Is there value in wsop side events? I'm going to answer assuming it isn't a level.

They are the best value tournaments in the world.

We are handling the buy ins for over 60 sites and also several pro teams. If you want to pre register or sort cash transfers let us know. I fly out on the 7th June for 6 weeks and will be staying at the Palazzo. AS I am unsure about posting e mail and phone numbers please go to living iit loving it for contact details.

Flying 18th June. It's been 6 years since I went. What's the protocol these days with getting registered as a player for WSOP events and what do I need to do to avoid paying tax on my binkage?
Cheers
