In now. Makes perfect sense. They only doubled the amount for the first fight.. He got £500k for the #1 and they doubled it to a milli ball. He should be looking at 3 milli minimum. I'm not sure exactly but i think Froch might have got £4 milli from the first fight. This is going to be one of the biggest fights ever held in the UK, Groves is one half of the warriors in that ring, they can't just mug him off with a small slice of the purse. I imagine there were also other contributing factors in the initial offer that I am not aware of but I will try and find out. Truth be told Karl didn't want this fight imo, he wanted to fight Chavez Jr and probs retire after that. If he vacates this he will lose all credibility that he has gained. Really hope he stays true to the "i'll fight anyone" mentality then the build up will just be incred.

Odd decision by the IBF, though. Despite the hysteria, there have been higher profile and worse decisions in boxing. This sets a dangerous precedent.

Yeah, I don't think it's about the decision (at least that's not the main factor). It's more about the public clamour for the fight (in the UK) and the revenue that comes with that - and the prestige for the IBF. In fact the decision has done the IBF a favour. If the fight had been allowed to go on a minute longer and Froch had stopped Groves or got a KO, then there'd be a much weaker claim for a rematch.

It seems far more plausible than a decision that the ref made a serious error. Good for the fans anyway. Froch wins in three and everyone forgets all about it

Apparently Amir Khan has been caught dabbling in Columbian's finest and also cheating on his missus. Quite surprised tbh. If they can prove the drugs then he could be in trouble.

Bazza how would you price Bradley in this please? I make him a 6/4 shot. I think this will go the cards and be pretty tight. I was impressed with how Bradley dealt with JMM.
