So you're saying I'm an arse and Laxie's a monkey? You can go off people, you know Kev!

People might agree with the monkey thing to be fair.

Here's a tip for food critics everywhere - If you're hoping to visit a restaurant as an unknown, it's best to choose a discreet disguise. A frog costume does not fit this bill.

Tell me about it.  Been having some very odd dreams lately.

Actually, you and Mrs. Red were in one last week.  There was serious concern over a banana peel and some laundry.  Told ya they're odd.

Don't worry about it Dawn. Loads of women dream about me, it's perfectly normal.

I found something lying on the ground near a tree during our walk today.  It didn't feel soft like a fungus.  It was more like burnt timber.  Hard, but lightweight.

What is it?

We looked up and spotted more of them attached to the sides of the trees in the area...

Definitely a bracket fungus - but what type? I know a couple of the useful ones, but there's a lot of them out there. The brackets can be really woody and tough to cut.

Pity the sad creatures who feel the need to degrade the happiness of others in order to feel better about their own existence. Forgive them their false pride in their 'honesty'. Wish them the ability to be honest with themselves and the chance to feel real happiness not selfish smugness.

Good god.  I've read through most of the book and I'll have more work in training Jack than I will training the puppy!  This could get messy.  Just glad we're heading for better weather.  He won't mind it as much in the shed.

Just make sure you socialise you puppy well dawn. Give him as many experiences as you can while he's too young to know something is unusual.

Hold him in your arms if you have to, but introduce him to everything. Busy roads, loud machinery,  crowds, Glock 17s, farm animals, maiden aunts, toothpaste, Eastenders, bank robbers, Lamberettas....

You get the idea. It's the best thing you will ever do for him.

Will do, but how do I train Jack?
