On the rule change to stop playing for position in those last week matches. Instead of the loser in those games getting the best draft pick, give the winner of those 3/4, 5/6,7/8,9/10 place games the higher draft pick than the loser of those games instead. So instead of playing for the highest finishing position in that last game by being better off losing the final week game for draft pick reasons could we make those games is a play off game to win the best draft pick position  the following year?

For info, I've put blocks on roster changes / trades, etc until I've had chance to do the basic setups for the new season, but other areas should all be functional.

Redraft was on the 5th Sept, any chance of either avoiding Mondasy or having the last Monday in August please?  It's usually the first meeting of the year for of my camera club and I keep missing it!

It would be handy if a 12 man redraft draft didn't take over 3 hours this time around as well (maybe make it 60 second picks instead of 3 mins), no matter what day it's on. As I had #1 overall I seemed to go 30 mins at a time between picks. Was a very long night.

(my increasing blood alcohol content was in no way an excuse for my poor performance in the league, but I'm sure I went through 6-8 cans over the whole draft process)

It was already on my radar that I needed to kick this off ASAP, but thanks for the reminder.

I'll get the draft rolling by the weekend, so expect draft order, chases for fees, etc prior to that.  It'll be unchanged from last year in terms of process, so we'll have the usual 24hr period for picks.  In reality, very few picks use the full allocation.

I'll work on the basis that all existing D League managers are staying in this year, but please advise if otherwise, as I can start to utilise the waiting list if necessary.

In true form, I missed my previous deadline on this, but am finally working through the admin bits to kick off the DLeague draft.  The basic draft order is below, as calculated from the finish positions.  My next task is to work through the trades from last season to compile the round by round pick list, but this will give you a basic listing to work from.

Also, as previously mentioned, I've changed the draft rule for the coming season to avoid a repeat of bobby1's blank roster tactic (within the rules at the time) from last season's play-offs.  Draft picks will now work on the same basis as the consol all through the league, with the exception of the final (as the league winner should always get the last pick).  Basically, if you've been eliminated from contention at some point then you get a better pick by winning your respective consolation games in the main bracket, as well as in the consol.  I've added a summary below, which hopefully explains it a little better.

I'll finish the admin bits and then we'll kick off the draft immediately, which is easy enough given that I have the first pick.  The usual 24 hour rule applies for picks, but we generally get things done much more quickly in most cases.

I'll unlock the rosters once we're ready to draft, so that you can process your own picks once made.  Please don't do any free agent pick ups, other than your draft picks, while we're drafting.  Once we're done, I'll set up an initial waiver period for immediately after the draft, and then we go back onto the usual weekly cycle.

Please shout if any queries in the meantime.
