What are the tie breakers to determine league order Curtis?

Can't believe my badly drafted/injury riddled team can be top of any league.

It should be H2H record, followed by total points.  You've only played Horner in your league so far though.

However, I've spotted a flaw in this, as the randomly generated fixtures don't guarantee that you'll play everyone in your division.  Looking at your fixtures, I can't see a matchup with Longy, for example.

I find this somewhat annoying to say the least, but not sure I can do anything about this now.  Pre-season, I think I did have the option of generating fixtures manually, but assumed that the site could do a competent job.  Clearly I was wrong!

TBH I am a a good second fav against Longy so that might be bit of run good.

Julio Jones out for the rest of the season. Well that's us screwed then.

Anyone else had a massive injury like this so early on in previous seasons ? If so how did you cope ?

I can't see anyway back for us but will keep trying every week regardless.

well done Sheriff, different gravy.

As to injuries, its the luck of the draw.

If you have Julio Jones you need to look at your roster, see what trading chips you have (RB?) and look at other rosters....see who is short of RB and make offers accordingly

Obviously in a 16 team league the waiver wire is very thin so if your rosterbecoems very unbalanced due to injuries its work out trades..knowing that everyone can drive a hard bargain as they know your WR is down

The impact of injuries is pretty brutal, but not impossible to overcome.

I lost Jamaal Charles for the season in Wk1 or 2 a couple of seasons ago, after taking him No 2 overall, and still managed to win that league.

In contrast, I turned down a trade offer last season from Horner (from memory, it was something like he sent AJ Green for MJD).  One week later MJD limped off with a foot injury and then spent the rest of the season fooling everyone into thinking he might return the following week, and I slowly dropped out of the playoff places as my lack of reliable RB depth killed me.

As Tighty says, the waiver wire is less of an option in deeper leagues like this (but not completely hopeless), so you'll probably need to look at trades.  It's not impossible, particularly in a division where every team is 2-3 at present.

Don't forget, the immediate target is 8th place or above to sneak into the playoffs.  After that, anything can happen.

I honestly don't think it's a bad trade for either side.  I think people are looking at it based on prior season performances and judging it unfairly from ForthThistle's point of view.

Brady was his backup QB behind Rivers, and isn't scoring anything like the Brady of old.  If he was he'd be starting and I'd be trying to trade for Rivers.  I need him to cover Vick's injury, but if Vick was healthy he'd be starting ahead of Brady at the present time.  Maybe that changes down the line, but not at the moment.

Bell was my highest scoring RB, and he already owns Bush, so he's picking up a playable RB/flex option and a handcuff, and trades away a backup QB he can't trust to start (and also gets another starting QB as a backup, albeit an unproven one).

I think Brady and Bell are about 10 points apart in scoring at the moment after 5 weeks, which is ridiculous to say we're comparing a supposedly 'elite' QB with a supposedly 'backup' RB.

Brady is about to get Gronk back....

that's why you've bought well, and extremely low. He's been sold at a time when his points scoring is low, and is about to rise. Not only Gronk but the recievers gain more experience too

Well done

For anyone interested, Dez Bryant is now on the trading block.

Looking to do a deal for an top-end RB in return.

I got a bit bored earlier and entered another draft for fun/stave off boredom. This is what I got (from the 2 position) with the rounds in brackets

QB A. Rodgers (3), T. Romo (10)
RB A. Peterson (1), F. Jackson (4), K. Moreno (7), J. Bell (12), B. Powell (14)
WR W. Welker (2), D. Jackson (5), A. Jeffery (11), J. Blackmon (13)
TE J. Cameron (6)
K M. Prater (8 ), M. Bryant (9)
DEF Colts (15)

So, thoughts?
