Sigh Played the satellite tonight for the 300 and with 10 seats gtd i sat snug early but was pretty card dead all night and from 3/600 - 8/1600 i never got above 10 bigs and was just shipping against stacks. Then with 20 left got moved but found the CL on my right, I didnt know who he was but saw him shove a few times then he near enough tripled through with AK v AQ v Q8 aipf and knocked out Lucky. He then open shoved the next 8 hands and when it gets to my BB he types "I Love Richard Blacklock" i knew his name was Paul but which one?? He ships 160k in the middle and i have and 35k at 1500/3000 just about to go 2/4000 i look at the other table and there are not enough shorties to gtee a seat so i call. IS THIS BAD?? obv Q2 off gets there on the river when the Q hits and i find out its PAUL HO!! So i shall be buying in Friday now and if needs be Saturday also... I see you've posted a 'similar' hand on the PHA board 2-0 to u boshi so far

Standard call for me, you just need to run better.
Not sure on this! As the blinds will go past me and i still have 30k left and there are some stacks that i could be shoving into that make it a tough call for them and winning the blinds only at this stage once per orbit can lock up a seat. Maybe 9's is the bottom of the range less is an easy fold IDK my range in ur situation is ax 77+ k7+ kx qt+ jt s+ maybe snap with any pair I was shoving every hand and calling with alot of hands ur 99 was a fist pump imo

Hi mate,
Been reading your diary from the start and its a brilliant and insightful read into your life. A real eye opener.
Also the tips are pretty good.
My question is property related. For a first time buyer with no deposit, what would you advise?
I could wait a year maybe 2 get a decent a deposit and then jump into the property market? New homes? Shared ownership?

TY for reading, with nil deposit its nigh on impossible to get a mortgage now so you really need to save a deposit which in a rising market means as your saving up you might go from thinking about getting a 2 bed house say but by the time your deposit is saved all you get is a flat, however I believe the market is going to be really tough for at least 18months so if you can get a deposit together then great you wont miss out. Also if say you get 10k together but need 20k and you have already researched the fact the bank will lend you 10k you can wait until the very last minute ie day of exchange and take the loan obv as long as you know you can service the loan and mortgage! Or if you save 10k and you see something you like at say 160k but you need 20k deposit tell the vendors you are prepared to pay the £160k as long as they gift you back 10k towards your deposit (this is called a vendor gifted deposit- some lenders like this others not) which means they nett out at 150k you get your 10k and as long as the property values up to 160k on paper then everyones a winner, this works well if the vendor is upsizing and can pass any loss up the chain!!

ESO'S HORSE OF THE DAY!!
I backed this horse last time and it finished second, unfortunately its not much of a price today as they have put it in a maiden however it has been entered in loads of handicaps over the past week and they have decided on running it here i assume to get a win before winning a few handicaps!!
DUCAL 5.50 Wolverhampton
I stress this is not a tip just a horse i have a note on as it has already run at Wolverhampton and finished a bit too late. It is only going to be around 5/4 but hopefully a winners a winner!!

If you fancy playing in Clacton let me know and I'll tell them to put you on the list. I think you might have to join the snooker club to play but it's free anyway. I'm guessing only the £100 would be worth playing anyway for yourself on the Saturday night. I've just been looking at trains and it's a complete mission to get there from the sleepy hollows of Dorchester!!
Is Clacton October or November? if October no can do as will be playing a deepstack cant remember if its Bham or London lmk If its November your welcome to get to Leigh and i will drive you over!!

Dissapointed that when someone asks about a 20k deposit, you can't put together a sensible plan for them involving 6folds and up to a £1 stake.
