NOTTINGHAM SO FAR!!

Had a great starting table last night and was gutted to be moved and have to start again but had 18k with 15.5k av, unfortunately the next table was not as easy and had a great spot to 4bet when a nitty player raised utg+2 and the c/o 3bets to 1800 at 150/300. He had 3 bet this guy 3 occasions so i 4 bet to 4150 with the mighty  only for the small blind to dwell push all in for 13k total.

At the end of level 150/300/25 i find "The Beltons" to those who dont read his diary this is  and raise to 800 out of 9800 next to act 3bets to 2000 and i 4bet jam to be snapped with  and obv i dont do a get there so back to the hotel it was for an early night so we could get up and watch the rugby.

Back into the fold again today though!!

Mentioned in Eso Kral's diary. Honoured. thumbs up
Well i think that from now on when anyone posts on pha they should start with ok blinds  are blah blah  i have the beltons...

"get it all in pre and start a diary if you lose."

A BREAK EVEN WEEKEND!!

I suppose its not a bad result when you think i fired 2 bullets at the deepstack, played the £150 y/day, a live sat for the GUKPT this week and a loser on the cricket but i was prepared for all the above even if my horsey tip didnt win.

Day 1b
This was probably the hardest i think i ever had to grind a tourney as was completely card and spt dead for 6 levels and then as we had a 35 min break one of the Southend players said lets go to Nando's to eat so after waiting 10 mins and telling them we only had 20 mins to get food and eat we sat down and had a beer.
20 mins later the food is not out, I am going back with 9000 at 200/400 and the other 2 are happy on 30k plus so wait for their food and i go back  Angry    gutted as was really looking forward to the chicken livers!!

At this point i know that Sirius Prospect has won very well so am free rolling the entire weekend but i was anyway after the wonder horse won last week as well!!

I was determined to to shove too light as i think this has been a failing recently and really picked my spots well but had to make 2 big calls against "The Mad Turk" once with AK high for half my remaining stack when he bluffed the river buthis bet didnt make sense and also when he jammed the button for a similar stack to mine 10k at 400/800 and I held   two hearts and whilst this particular player is entitled to a hand now and again 90% of the time my   is good here all I needed to do was hold v which was the first time i was over starting stack since the start of the day.

You then start to feel good things will happen and a few jams later i was up to 36k with one level of the day left and was really hoping for a double through to come back mid pack on day 2. Alas it was not meant to be and i only managed to tread water coming back with 38600 (15 bigs)...

Edit - forgot to mention i spent the whole day oop to Steve Jelinek, really nice guy obv we spoke a lot about babies as he has a 3 month old but a few pots against other players with some discussion after the hand was a real insight!!

DAY 2

My table apart from 2 players were all well under average so i had to be really cute on who to pick on!! Unfortunately after winning one pot v Shola we played another when she cold called my late pos raise from the bb and i think i mangled the last 2 streets as when i bluff the river instead of giving up and still having 30k she can never fold her hand the way i played the flop and turn.

This sets up my exit hand as with only 17.5k back and blinds about to go 1500/3000 i jam   mid pos to be flatted by Raj Dhri who had dem Aces!!

Whilst waiting for the £150 to start I sat in the 50/1 cash table and in the hour at the table booked a £180 win, I wish i played live cash more often as have always been a tourney junkie and whenever I play the odd live game i seem to book a win.

So we free rolled the £150 and was on quite a loose table with most splashing the chips around but i built up a nice stack when a min raise in ep was lfatted in 4 spots and we flat with   to see an orgasmic flop of   the o/r leads for 1k and gets flatted by frankie so we flat behind to get it in on the turn which came   and the o/r bets 1k again with frankie jamming and us calling leaving him drawing to the 9 with his 8/10 off..

I then flopped quads and got paid but came unstuck about 50players out when having seen the guy to my right 3bet the same player 3times i decide to 4b with   but have to call it off when he jams and again he had dem aces but we flop two hearts to give us a sweat for a 50k stack at 400/800 alas no heart dropped on the turn and river so i set off at 6.45 to get home...

Or at least thats where i thought i would go..

THE M1 SOUTH

As i hit the M1 i realised that the traffic is rubbish at this time of night so remembering that there was a £30rebuy 10seat live gtd sat to the main event at Coventry this week decided to take a small detour and see if i could bink a seat and either sell it or get an extra special pass out for this week.

118 players thought the same and with 1500 discs and 3 x 30mins followed by 20min clock it was destined to get shooty, Last of the last 3 hands and i have 3200 and have not rebought so will take the double addon of 3k chips for £30 and the players either side of me who have just lost the last pot and have already negotiated that its best to open raise to 750 and then fold in order to be able to take another rebuy followed by the add on do as they say with the first making it 750 at 1/200.

I jam with and get called for 3 players 1500 with          and   and the king on the river sees me come back with 4700 which becomes  10k first level back when i hold 88 v AK and 13k when i win 2 pots without showdown
2 table moves later and I am 2 decent pots away from locking up a seat as i know if i can get to 30-40k this will be plenty even though 50 is whats required, unfortunately the poker gods decided to give me   in the big blind when a short stack shoves the c/o and the s/b (table c/l) over jams with   to flop quads leaving me to drive downs south knowing that Live Poker is soooooooooooo Rigged!!!!

It was a tiring weekend and was glad to hit the sack at 3am this morning for a combined total of 14 hours sleep since friday due to pokerz and getting up to watch the rugby, it was also nice even after 4 hours sleep to get up when Maxwell woke and spend an hour with him before work...

Next live pokerzzz gonna be Luton poss next friday if invited for a meal by Vinny (wont hold my breath) or if not then the monthly £200 before I have a weekend pass out again for DTD in November as Petra and Maxwell are going to Slovakia to see the grandparents and take the Xmas presents over and I dont have any A/L left to take...
