When we are back in Slovakia for Xmas yes it gets caught from a lake a few days before then to clean it out they leave it in the bath till the 23rd!!
Good knowledge Gatso by far the wisest owl on here.

not just a slovakian thing. I know this from my time in poland
true true the first christmas we spent together we didnt go back to Slovakia and I wanted Petra to feel at home so we discussed what they did and i said I would go the the Fish mongers on the front and she said not to worry if they didnt have one.
Off i went expecting to look crazy asking for a carp and as soon as i mumbled my GF is from Slovakia he said "You want a Carp dont you?" apparently i was his 180th order!!

Do they call it crap in Slovakia ? My Romanian workmate was asking me where he could get some crap to eat over here, was quite a funny convo  Cheesy

100K CHALLENGE
GET OUT OF JAIL CARD USED AND A LESSON LEARNT!

Last night I was watching Man Utd round a friends house but had one eye on my lay in the challenge PETERBOROUGH and after i had placed the lay I had a feeling that I had done the wrong thing and after an earlier bullet when Man U gave up a 2 nil lead said if they were 1 up going into last 10 mins i would lay off for the stake back as mentioned earlier itt.

Lucky I did!!

It was a bad lay in theory as there were better lays last night so Im glad to have got out of it, if I do make it to later bets at some point then i shall look back at this point as there is always another match and not to Lay it if I dont feel 100% about it.

Now what shall i pick tonight   mwahhahahahaha

Sigh, stop double posting please mate. I expect a diary update whenever you post in here and am always gutted to see that it's just a copy of what you already posted in the 100k challenge thread.

Oh, and tell Petra to pull her finger out and get me that Goulash recipe...please Smiley

1st March 2006

I remembered this story yesterday when i watched a race and saw the sponsor on a jockey's leggings and it reminded me of this horse
It was a brilliant day, I was working in Chadwell Heath and the housing market was pretty good and we had put a deal together on a semi detached house on a big plot in the knowledge we were also getting the other semi detached in 1 week and the same buyer was going to buy both houses knock them down and put 15flats on the plot and had already sounded out the council who told him this was fine.

The first deal had gone through a couple of days before and i had to meet one of the brothers at one of his chain of Indian restaurants to collect our 10k drink for making sure property 1 was his, it was the first time i had done anything at this level so was quite nervous as although the vendors were getting market value obv they never knew the plans for the props after.

Arriving at the restaurant i kept checking to see if all looked ok and in i went, where i was guided to one of the kitchens where they chopped up all the Halal meat. I was half exxpecting to either end up in a dish myself or for some tv reporter with a camera to pop out but 5 minutes later in came ****** and he handed over 2 bags. I said if its ok with him i will count it out as i would not want him to have overpaid us (something i learnt from the money lenders).

FML only 5k was in 20's the rest was in tenners and fivers and after 30 mins i confirmed it was all there and shook his hand saying i looked forward to seeing him in 3weeks time when the other house had gone through and we would collect the other half. As i walked out i still expected someone to jump me or jump out with the camera and i jumped in my car and locked the doors and drove back to the office where i distributed the cash between the 4 in the office and then set about the rest of my day off which was to back a horse i had been told a few weeks before that was running today....
