Missing the Monte Carlo!!

Obv a £1k tourney is out of my roll speshly at this time of year and had decided to play 3 sats this week and if that failed to have some mad sprts spin up from Monday to Friday with the intention of playing Saturday and it was going ok, not in the sats as Monday and Tuesday blanked but a £100 investment on over 2 goals in Chelski/Man City came in follow by lumping the lot on a win/draw double chance bet double on Tues night footie meaning we had £315 to invest then came a pm from someone with a few horses.

Doh invested the lot and a further £80 in some combos and after the first won at 9/2 it was looking rosy alas it was not meant to be and it was gg as of yesterday morning!!

Until....

I know had one shot at the satellite and a spare hundo for a spin up so scoured the Racing post and saw that a horse was running at Towcester who had the beaten the horse I backed last Saturday and they were miles clear of the rest and although Saturdays winner was fortunate to say the least I really fancied this one.

£100 at 5/2 was invested on Valid Reason in the 2.10 and I watched the betting market unfold on betfair and after a short while we were trading at 1/2 as the 2nd fav had either fallen or was in trouble the 2 other horses started to shorten and we went out to evens then 2/1 at it looked like the dream was over, all of a sudden we were trading odds on again and its between us and an outsider when they suspended the market the other horse was trading shorter and I thought the game was up.

I had received a pm from the same guy as y/day about 2 horses running after mine and after the result was confirmed with my horse second I was going to stick a token £40 on the first one and went to place the bet and whilst waiting for the race to start looked up at the results and VALID REASON was declared winner in an ammended result WIIIIIIIII  the first horse loses so now I need to drive to a different shop to pick up the £350 as I had chucked my losing slip somewhere.  As i got back to the office and checked Blonde i saw the Redarmi had put up a horse that defined his wifes Xmas pressie so shot to collect my bet and stuck £40 each way from the £350 on his nag at 9/2   oioioioioioi  call a copper   so were holding £270 with a £296 slip to collect and the dream is still alive.

The second horse from the PM was in the 5.30 but was priced at 6/4 so sticking the £296 would only return £740 and leave me short, so the Racing post was consulted and at first I was going to put the lot on the horse plus 2 short priced football teams in europe but bottled it as I would have been gutted if the horse wins and one of the teams draws or loses so decided have £200 on the horse at 6/4 (giving me a £500 bullet friday if the footie does not cop) and then a £96 treble horse onto Tottenham 2/5  onto Atheltico Madrid 2/5 and still have the DTD sat to come.

For those that dont know Spurs won 4-0 and Athletico Madrid were 3-0 before winning 3-1 and we have the princely sum of £970.40 to pick up which means I shall take the shot at the MC on my own dime although
Pleno has 5% of all my live action and i shall save a token % each for Redarmi and my mystery Pm'er as without these 2 it would not be possible
