Nice pick with Caledonia, wish I'd seen it earlier as didn't play in that race and would have had a small interest.

Mind you I reckon I must be in credit for not bokking.

Well I got back from Plymouth and beat myself up enough about my epic spews in the main event and consoled myself with a winning grand prix bet on M Webber having invested £65 at 9/2 on Sat evening along with a cover shot of £35 on Schumi at 10/1 and enjoyed the Sunday afternoon with Petra and Max at home flicking between the grand prix and the tennis before it was back to work Monday.

We currently have 2 work experience girls who started yesterday which we do as a favour to the local schools and colleges to give them an insight into our industry and something to add to their Cv as well and both have applied themselves well to the tasks given so far, then today I had to attend another school we support at their assembly to give a little lad an I-pod touch he won in a raffle we held at their school fete a couple of weeks ago.

It was quite touching really with 120 infants infront of you and the school head going back over the fete day reminding them of our presence and the fact that one of the children in this room had won the prize, then we revealed the winner was from Red class and they all started to look at each other then the fact it was a boy and finally his name began with a D and this little lad immediately stuck his arm in the air and had a massive smile on his face.

Up he came and it was a pleasure to give him his prize and watch him go to sit down holding it close to his chest and the smile never left his face for the rest of the assembly which was really nice to see.  We give the school approx £2k per year for various events and whenever they hold an event the area is flooded with our boards advertising the fete or bazzaar so it is well worthwhile the sponsorship in terms of board presence alone.

Was lucky enough to get the timing of a bet 100% right y/day and will post details later but had £200 on something at 5/6 which is now best priced 1/3 and then today have placed my first pre-season punt with a cheeky £60 acca on Uruguay to win group A of the olympics football with Man city to win the Prem League and then J Ennis to win SPOTY which pays just over £1500 so hopefully will get a sweat from it!!

I am also taking a small punt on Sirius Prospect EW at 20/1 for the July cup this weekend, it is not info but it has shortened over the past few days and I availed myself of a little 25/1 and personally thought he ran his best race of the season last time out at Royal Ascot behind Black caviar so will have had about £50 ew by the time I post this...

Not sure why I chose that day to place this bet and I would not have put it on a day later at 1/3 to win £70 and obv still a fair way to go but am happy with pos!

When this won I stuck a further £20 ew on Sirius Prospect for Saturday at 20/1 so got £70 ew at average odds of 22/1

Today I am on 2 horses EW

I have £20 ew on Pearl Blue  4.40 NWMKT at 10/1 having missed the 14's early early despite looking at it in bed at 6.30 this morning
topped up a further £20 ew at 8/1 once I got to work

£15 EW on   Vino Collapso @ 8/1 who I think will like the ground today at Donny 2.40 and ties in some form with Bircham that was beaten into second by Tha'ir who won at R Ascot although the odds on shot does look decent in the 2.40 I hope we show some further improvement and would have liked one more runner for 3 places but you cant have everything.

Plus I have a £20 EW double on both as well!!
