Cliffs

Under it at work

Winning a little bit

moved upto 25/50p on advice of Honeybadger

2 Kids is harder than 1

Well work is very busy atm with it coming to the last 5 weeks of us being able to sell stuff and get it through by Christmas so with the kids back at school activty and the diary is bulging with good offers coming in and we are on target to turnover £425'000 this year which means since me and the team have been involved we have grown it from £187k (with us in for 6months) to the £425k this year in a timeframe of 29months, not bad in what is still a fairly static price market but very much supply and demand.

We have done this via good marketing and trying to give the customers what they want in terms of good communication and service and whilst we are the most modern in terms of technology and advertise the most still retain the good old fashioned basics of Estate Agency.  I spoke a while ago about a house that was going through at just over 1Million pounds and that the owner had sadly passed away during the transaction and now that it has gone through I can tell the rest of the story well most of it..

Basically we were holding a £20k non refundable deposit which the buyer had given me and there was a part of the transaction that the solicitors were not aware of on top of this that had been agreed between vendor and purchaser but sadly our vendor passed away about 2 weeks prior to exchange of contracts and as it transpired when the vendor passed there was an awful lot of people who came out of the woodwork claiming they were owed some ££.  It has taken 4 months for the solicitor to get to a point of cleaning up the finances and for an estate that is worth over 1.2Million the estate is basically bankrupt.

Unfortunately the solicitors in going through all the paperwork found out we were holding the £20k so this has had to be returned to them as part of the transaction but this is our biggest fee of the year and worth £12500 to the office and £750 to the sales negotiator that tied up the deal.

Winning a little bit at the moment on Sports mainly on goals betting and the odd tft follow but over the past couple of weeks I have accrued a psoition on a few horses that I fancied ante post for stuff with me putting a few quid on from winnings during the day and somehow have ended up with £211.75 EW on TROPICS at prices from 16/1-14/1 inthe Ayr Gold Cup today and £30EW plus a further £25 win on Our Jonathan 28/1-25/1 in the same race so at 3.55 I could be very happy or very sad. The other horse in the book is Pallasator in the Ces at 12/1.

The other things I like today are Swindon to beat Bristol City at 11/10 VC, Charlie Austin anytime scorer for QPR v Yeovil and Callum Mcrgegor at 11/2 anytime for Notts County v Tranmere.   GL Punters today!

I have moved up to 25p/50p on Sky poker after building a roll from an initial deposit of £200 on Sky Poker based on the advice of Honeybadger who told me it needs to hurt a litlle when I lose and that 15/30p where I had built the roll is too small, it has been a touch tougher and I am down a couple of Bi's this week but once I have the Grand Prix out of the way next week I shall set about it again but on the first week of playing it seems nittier than the lower levels and there are defo more regs at this level.

Finally it has been pretty tough the past few weeks as having 2 dustbins definitely places you under more strain and we are relaxed as people so work together on most stuff but I am not sure we will be going for number 3 just yet, there is just no time in the day as currently my day works like this..

6.15-30 Get up with Ivy and Max giving Ivy to Petra at 7am when I start to get ready for work and Max stays with me
7.45 Breakfast with the kids leaving at 8.10 for work.
6.30 in from work and then bit of time with them before bath time/bed time and downstairs by 7.30.
Bit of snap before 4x nights a week play 3-4 tables of poker at the levels stated alongside various satty's finishing about midnight
Rinse repeat...

In the next couple of weeks I am even thinking of slotting in some work on the business which will be done from 5.30ish getting it ready to launch next January so will survive on 5 hours sleep most nights but I seem to be ok on that much so am pretty cool with it.

Below is a recent photo from a wedding reception we went to at the East Anglian Railway Museum of Petra and the kids

oioiiiiiii chiquitos love itt. Best BBQ pulled pork I have ever had outside of Augusta (USA) and I make a point of trying it any time I see it on the menu. Even enjoyed the side salad! Good array of cocktails as well.
