Great for the fans, that's for sure!

One good thing about the UFC, nobody can run from anyone, because Dana won't have it.

Offsets his double standards, with regards to the fighters who make him the most money.

With regards the Pendred fight, a lot of people were swayed by Rogan's simply terrible commentary. For a good 10 minutes he just blasted Pendred's striking.

Spencer still won but he didn't set the world on fire and I thought to myself this could easily be 29-28 Pendred because two of the rounds were a really poor standard!

UFC GLASGOW BY THE WAY!!!!

Only watched the Main event, plus the prelim show from last weekend so far, but WTF was going on with the production?!?!

Could hear the truck counting down to replays that never came, talking over Buffer, music over talking, missing start of rounds.

I Like Dan Hardy but that Journo they have anchoring it is awful with his malapropisms. That said, I'm no fan of Goldberg and Rogan, and weirdly, they were there too, so we didn't even get a full break from the regular bumbling idiot and his lunatic self righteous side kick. And talking of Rogan, the hard time he gave that Finnish fighter for the stoppage of Ogle was outrageous. The guy had just had the win of his life, it's not his fault the ref jumped in, and besides, it wasn't that bad of a stoppage. Ogle's hands were by his side and he took half a dozen unanswered head shots. The stoppage might have erred on the side of caution, but to give the lad a hard time about it in his post fight interview was totally classless.

Complete mess.

bet woodley to win, in a double with andy and to win by KO/TKO after this.

http://www.mmafighting.com/2015/1/31/7955765/coach-kelvin-gastelum-was-hospitalized-friday-isnt-100-percent

hope it's not some betting coup thing from the Gastelum camp.

anyway i'm up all night and really looking forward to it, especially the main event.

He didn't look great at the weigh-in, and they mentioned that at the time.

Makes a change to see Silva behaving like a gentleman, and not a complete helmet!

Think you'll be collecting on those.

Statements after the weekend -

"The UFC has been notified by the Nevada State Athletic Commission that Nick Diaz has tested positive for marijuana metabolites following his fight with Anderson Silva at UFC 183 on Jan. 31 in Las Vegas, Nev. The UFC has a strict, consistent policy against the use of any illegal and/or performance enhancing drugs, stimulants or masking agents by our athletes. As a result of his positive test, Diaz has been informed that he has violated the UFC Fighter Conduct Policy and Promotional Agreement with Zuffa, LLC. The UFC organization will fully respect the Commission’s decision relating to Diaz at a hearing set for February 17."

“Anderson Silva has been one of the greatest athletes this sport has ever seen. He has had a long and distinguished career in mixed martial arts. In his nine years with the UFC, Anderson has never tested positive for a banned substance. In light of this, we want to ensure that Anderson gets his due process and we will support him during this time. While this process plays out, Anderson will continue in his role as coach of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil. Of course we will continue to monitor the actions of the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

“We fully support the Commission’s out-of-competition drug testing program, which we have financed when requested over the past two years. Testing of this nature is important to help keep the sport clean. The director at the laboratory in Salt Lake City has now explained the timing of Anderson’s test results and why the Commission and the UFC did not receive the results until February 3, after the fight.

“Once all the results have been made public and the Nevada State Athletic Commission has rendered its decision, we will respect the process and move forward accordingly.”

Better start earning Dana more change, if you want to be in the groovy gang...

If you bet on Nelson and Overeem wins but fails a post fight drug test do you win or lose?

So can Conor really deliver against Jose?
There's no doubt he genuinely believes he can. This is obviously not just hyping a fight by him. He truly believes he's going to decisively dethrone the champ.
It's a hell of a build up. My YouTube feed is already swamped with Conor and Jose's mugs and the fight is still 4 months away.

Aldo is probably my favourite of the current champions and I would normally be routing for him, but I'm definitely on the McGregor train and hope he can do what he says he will.

Anything else rumoured apart from Rory MacDonald having a crack at Robbie Lawler for his welterweight belt (still feels weird to say that)

Those are the 2 confirmed fights.

I haven't been following it that much, in the wake of Pacquaio v Mayweather being confirmed.

Ronda Rousey is on ESPN First Take this afternoon though, which should be interesting.

every 'UFC Embedded' on Youtube is more mouthwatering than the last. July feels forever away.

I really like Aldo, and I can understand why he's pissed off with everything coming from Conor, but I have to say, I think Conor is winning the psychological battle.
