People hate a winner.

Incredible fight. half way through round 1 it was looking like Conor was going to put a clinic on, but it turned into an absolute war. I had it 48/47 too.

Small profit for the card, picking 6/9 right.

I've not seen much hate?

I know the people who he trashes don't enjoy getting caned, but who would? :

Cheesy

Can't wait for the third one, which should be even better at 155!

I don't think we'll see the rubber math soon. I think Conor will have to defend the FW belt a couple of times and Nate needs to stay relevant by beating top 155/170s

Agree, want to see them fight some other people before fighting again further down the road.  McGregor should absolutely fight Aldo next and then has a bunch of options afterwards.  Could fight a LW contender or defend hiis FW title again

Personally, I'd like to see him fight Aldo first, then if there's a legitimate #1 contender in place with a running win streak, him too.

At that point, let him take a shot at the LW title. If he wins that, he's got his "two weight" title. Then vacate FW and defend LW a few times. I think he'll settle at LW eventually and he shouldn't clog up both belts.

He's done at WW though, that's for sure.

On another subject, during 202 I saw the full trailer for the upcoming TUF seasons where Flyweight title holders from organisations around the world compete for the right to take Demertious Johnson on.

That actually looks really interesting. Although I'm sick of hearing Joe Rogan bleat on about it, ive come to agree that D.J. is the P4P King at the moment, but he doesn't get the credit he deserves because he's cleared the division out. Not only does this TUF give him a fresh opponent next, it also establishes a queue behind him. It could be the spark the division needs.

Macgregor gets 6 month medical ban following UFC 202

Diaz got 30 days.

From Kavanagh's interview with Ariel yesterday, that will probably suit him fine.

Puts an end to Eddie Alvarez' big payday too, because there's no way he's still champ by the time Conor is back and has defended/unified the FW belt.
Cerrone,Feguson and Nurmagomedov all beat him IMO.

Main Card (Pay-per-view)

Conor McGregor ($3 million + no win bonus = $3 million) def. Nate Diaz ($2 million)

Anthony Johnson ($135,000 + $135,000 = $270,000) def. Glover Teixeira ($65,000)

Donald Cerrone ($85,000 + $85,000 = $170,000) def. Rick Story ($41,000)

Mike Perry ($10,000 + $10,000 = $20,000) def. Hyun Gyu Lim ($18,000)

Tim Means ($31,000 + $31,000 = $62,000) def. Sabah Homasi ($12,000)

Preliminary Card (FOX Sports 1)

Cody Garbrandt ($27,000 + $27,000 = $54,000) def. Takeya Mizugaki ($39,000)

Raquel Pennington ($23,000 + $23,000 = $46,000) def. Elizabeth Phillips ($12,000)

Artem Lobov ($13,000 + $13,000 = $26,000) def. Chris Avila ($10,000)

Cortney Casey ($20,000 + $20,000 = $40,000) def. Randa Markos ($14,000)

Preliminary Card (UFC Fight Pass)

Lorenz Larkin ($39,000 + $39,000 = $78,000) def. Neil Magny ($47,000)

Colby Covington ($21,000 + $21,000 = $42,000) def. Max Griffin ($10,000)

Marvin Vettori ($10,000 + $10,000 = $20,000) def. Alberto Uda ($10,000)

Some serious dinero for Nate & Conor, and god knows how much once they get their PPV money added.

Think they should let Cerrone have a shot, and then the winner of Ferguson/Khabib fights whoever has the belt.

Ends in Ferguson beating Ceronne IMO

Questions

Medical ban? Recuperation time as deemed by UFC medical team?

PPV payments - do they then get a slice of the PPV money? Believe Brock did at 200? If they do does that go all the way down the card or just the top guys? Why do they publish payments?

The NSAC determine the bans, dependent on injuries, and clearance by doctors.

Think knockouts & broken bones are 3-6 months usually.

Big fighters get the PPV cut, and iirc it's all worked out based on sales.

They get a bigger piece of buys over 1m, than they do under etc.
