Isn't it only like 2/3 English managers that have won anything since Brian Little? How many English managers can be classed as successful in the last 20 years?

We're in a cycle now. Englishman with domestic trophy as his career highlight has to follow Foreigner with success. Just need to run out of both of those willing to take the job before we can move on to ex-player with no experience.

Hasn't the issue lately been a surplus of pride, passion and hope? What we need is someone to bring back the skills, commitment and some luck.
