I have cut out most the crap today but still eaten plenty.
Gonna be putting more effort into the exercise than the eating. Have yet to start exercising though. Hope to get a small session done in the morning

This is a great thread. Good luck to all the losers.

I've gained a stone over the course of the year, Vegas was responsible for half of it and Christmas the other half.

I'm back in my little programme now. I don't think I can join in with your prop because I only want to lose a stone. (Having said that, it will be a pretty tough stone because I'm not that much overweight).

Anyway. If no one objects I would like to post my efforts on here, but if you would rather I didn't, it's no no biggie.

welcome to for me.

So many potential heroes on this thread.

Whilst I am not fat, there is a bit of a tyre that needs ridding so, inspired by you lot, I am actually going to try and shift it.

Hi Lee, hope you will allow a late runner.

My current weight is 15st 10 and in line with the tread I want to lose 2 stone in 12 weeks (which will be 13st 10) and keep that or the weight what I have lost off for a further 12 weeks. (Meaning if I lose 1st in the first 12 weeks my second target will be to keep that off)

I would like to set myself a £100 fixed penalty if I fail the first 12 week challenge and a £100 penalty if I fail the second 12 week challenge.

Lets start burning some fat!!!

Get involved red!!

What does a normal day look like (food wise) for you?

Breakfast - Two eggs fried in one-cal spray olive oil on two slices of dry wholemeal toast.  Mug of tea with sweeteners.

Lunch- Tin of Heinz oxtail or minted lamb soup with 4 or 5 crisp-breads, mug of tea. I alternate that with a bowl of chopped fruit with low fat yoghurt.

Dinner (Tea to me) Chicken or fish with veg or salad.

If I can, I like to delay my meals as long as possible. I can wait for food if I know I'm gonna get some, but if I've had my last meal at 8pm, I'm starving by 11pm.

I like to go out on my bike or for a walk/jog in the morning, then have breakfast at lunchtime, that way, I can have my lunch at 6 ish, and my tea at around 10pm.

If I'm working away from home, I will usually have my brekky early and then skip lunch so that I still have a meal in hand.

I'm 14 stone as of yesterday, I'll be happy with 13st by the end of Feb.

BTW- To put my weight back on, I ate like it was a sport and I was training to represent England in the Olympics.

Sounds good red, think you've said about the breakfast before, I am going to try and keep it strict during the week and ease up a little at weekends- no major blow outs but a fried egg or two on toast is a nice alternative to my usual full English!!

Day 3 and I got through the headaches.  Not pleasant, but a day comes and goes soon enough.  Required a nap on the sofa mid-afternoon to do it, I would have been useless in an office environment.

Despite most diets starting as a NY resolution, this is a first time for me.  Normally I start diets on the day I commit to it, not setting some arbitrary date in the future.  I think this time round, because I knew I would be doing this on 1st Jan, I really pigged out over Christmas (even more than normally) and so it is actually a blessed relief atm not to have to eat.  Let's see how long that sensation lasts..

Normally on a diet, my OCD-tendencies see me hopping on the scales every few hours.  This time around, apart from initial weigh-in, I am not even remotely interested in the loss so far.  A little bit of evidence to me that I am far more focused on the maintaining stage already, perhaps.

The gym buddy is a good concept imo.  I am in St Albans and will mostly be training off peak ~ if that's any good to anyone who wants to swim/gym/hit a dead budgie over a net then feel free...

Hi mate. Difficult for me to join as I don't actually have weight loss in mind. Just want to be healthier- if I lose weight as a result then it'll be a bonus

Got woke up 4 times last night, twice because of the strong winds (we live at the top of a big hill and its a detached house, so its like a wind tunnel here) and twice because the dog threw up.

The reason I mention is because tiredness is always a big trap for me to avoid exercise and snack on crap - so I am posting here to make sure that I don't.

The price depends on the size of the bet. To put it simply, if the bet is a fiver you're probs 50/1. If it's a million quid you're odds on.

this - you dont need a price, you just need a big enough bet to make it worth your while

As someone who lost a good chunk myself, make sure the bet covers cost of replacing all your clothes!!!!!! I now have 7 suits that dont fit me!
