I've just bought a set of Weightwatchers scales from Sainsburys that go up to 28st. 1/2 price in the sale for £15, and they do body fat and BMI as well (not that I trust the %fat thing).

Good luck all. I'm also going to be attempting a weight loss before Vegas at end March. Aim to keep up with the 2lb/week as well, but don't really want to start for a couple of weeks while there's so much xmas food/chocs left. I'm too much of a life nit to throw them out. 19st 12 this morning Sad. So I'll be keeping an eye on this thread hoping for inspiration!

Is it these?? they look immense! my local Sainsburys is tiny. Out of stock online but ringing Lincoln Sainsburys now!

sigh out of stock both instore and online.

18 stone 3 or thereabouts put 8 pounds on in the last month heaviest I've ever been in my life.
Got to get that weight off this time no excuses.

I currently weigh 118kg, my aim is to get to 86kg. Reason being that will give me a 'normal' BMI.  I aim to lose 1kg per week and plan to do it with healthy eating and swimming.

I lost a few stone last year but haven't really kept the gym up after moving house (shit excuse obv), I always swam at the gym so just going to do that instead to start with maybe throw the odd spin session in!

I quit smoking around a month ago which resulted in a few pounds gained, just smashing in loads of biscuits at work instead of rushing out for a quick fag so need to knock that on the head.

Being categorised as obese is hard to take, looking forward to hitting the overweight mark !!

I've taken a photo of my scales, any easy way to post directly from iPhone?

Siiiigh, my home scales say error when i step on as they max out at 24 stone, have asked around and most mate's scales max out at 20 stone or 23.8 (which seems quite random). Genuinely thought i would be under as i puked 4 times this morning. Alcohol related not bulimia..

Options:

A - Just weigh in at 24 stone (I think I am probs around 24st 5lbs so it wouldn't take long to get a reading)
B - Stand on one leg and post a pic claiming i am 23 st 10
C-  Go to the gym and hope they have a scale which goes 24+ stone

Snap - i managed to get a reading of 24st 4lbs but last night it said error oops

Just in town now. Shit scale selections. Picked one up on sale sends an electric pulse through your feet and tells you body fat and water etc. Max out at 25 st so it's a bit of a gamble. Hold!!! will let ya know how I get on in an hour or so.

Girgles, read below. Already been to the gym today. The scales were tez.

I think the Wii Fit's have been shown to have fairly dubious accuracy.

Using the same method each time still shows how much you lost, but it might be an idea to compare this reading to another set of scales.

Deciding I'm going to do this too. Stranded at parents at the moment so will start a week late as no scales here and I'm not buying some to take back on the train with me. I think I'm somewhere between 20-25st so plenty to lose.

Scalegate is now closed. I took the middle of my 3 measurements. So rounding up I weigh in at 24st 11 with a staggering 60% body fat. It must sound ridic to others on the outside but i didn't actually realise I was that fat if you know what i mean. probs being tall hides it a bit. BMI of 43.15. 9yrs ago when i joined the RAF I weighed in at 14stone and I could run 6miles for fun. Have let myself go is an understatement.

Looking forward to getting on the scales next Sunday morning.

Jesus, poker players sure weigh lot. No offence but i am stunned tbh. I used to be worried about my peak at 13 1/2 stone not anymore, gl to all those who plan to lose it this year.

Bit late, sorry, but no, wasn't those. Ones I got aren't on the online store. This was Arnold, Nottingham, and they had some in yesterday as well.
