Decided to set myself a new target.

I'm going to eat as many pies as possible between now and June.

Hope everybody's ok with this slight adjustment.

March 25th I set my new target which at the time worked out at 14 weeks to lose 38.8lbs = 2.8lbs per week

Since then things haven't quite worked out..

To not give a penny to charity i have just over 9 weeks to lose 52lbs = 5.8lbs per week.

Calendar:

6th May - FA Cup Final, (if Liverpool win it will mean the drinking and bad eating will probs roll over to Bank Holiday Monday night)
2nd June - Jersey Shore Party
24th June - Missus Bday
9th July - Final weigh in, need to be 20 stone flat. (current 23st 10)

Think Galloway lost close to this in one month on the shakes, might be PMing him soon.

Stupidly,  I still think i can pull it off.

Edit: + 9/10th June - Probably Blonde bash. FML.

No offence intended here Milligan but I can't see the point of you killing yourself to do this atm.

You don't seem to be overly bothered about the whole weight thing so even if you lose it you'll only put it back on.

You'd be better off setting a more realistic target that you have to reach by the end of the year rather than do the drastic crash diet that's just doomed to fail again.

Don't worry about the charity thing too much either. Just make a token donation now and then set a new realistic goal that can be maintained.

See your point and thanks for the input Matt, but i've already made my bed. Will stick to my word.

My problem is I am just so LAZY in every possible definition of the word! i need to do this to get the ball rolling on the road to healthylifestyleville.

I struggle to be overly bothered about a lot of things. The word laxidasical has been used more than once when describing me. Still think it is doable for someone with my starting stack*.

I hope you can stick to it mate but I fear that in a few months you'll slip back in to bad habits.

For now your goal should be to stop gaining weight rather than drastically lose any. You really need to think long term and do something that's self motivating rather than being punishment based.

You're talking about losing weight and also planning your bad days in the same post. You're basically planning your failure because you already know where it's going to go wrong.

Lazy shouldn't be a problem by the way. You don't really need to do any exercise as long as you sort out your food intake.

Keep the binge drinking down to once or twice a week and limit your calories to 1800 or so for the other days and someone of your current size will lose weight.

Please don't do that stupid shake thing. I know it worked for Simon G but it really is fucking stupid unless you're morbidly obese and desperately need to lose weight for health reasons. You aren't going to keel over in 9 weeks purely because you haven't lost 52lbs so that really doesn't need to be your priority.

On the other hand if you believe that you can lose that weight and maintain it then brilliant, go for it!!

Why don't you start to use this thread to your advantage? Get posting your daily intake as soon as possible. It'll definitely help once you start to see what you really eat.

Just make sure you don't miss anything out.

VBOL with this. I really hope you smash it!!

Oh man, it's hard to reply, thats a very good post, it makes sense and all I want to do is slump in my chair.

Will try and make my views clear:

I can't change the new goal I have set, it is just something I need to do and I am 100% going to try to get to 20 st by 9th July, however I have to do it. What i do after that will be more akin to the lifestyle you have mentioned.

100% agree, it does feel like punishment as thats what it is, I know the method I am doing now is not remotely sustainable long term, but I also know the total shakes will be good to turn to if I am like 5 weeks out and still have a way to go.

The planning to fail is right and this is where i normally fall down the most as an all dayer normally ends up being one day on the booze and 2 on the food. I can't really cut them out though as I have turned down baby head wetting, birthdays and stag dos as it is and in all honesty I would rather not go then go and not drink or eat.

Food intake:

Yesterday:
Shake 125 cals
cup a soup 125 cals
5 bbq chicken thighs + coleslaw cals?

Today:
Shake
Cup a soup
Plan for tea 4 cajun chicken thighs

I hope to smash it too or at least make it a sweat.

Don't even pretend to yourself that you might cut out the booze and the binge eating. You clearly enjoy it too much and there's no point being here if you can't do something you enjoy.

I'd love to have a six pack like I used to but I just love curry night too much so I have to accept it's just not going to happen. It's a similar thing just on a slightly different level. As long as you're realistic I think you'll be fine.

Check the calories out on those bbq chicken thighs & coleslaw. I think you'll find it's surprisingly high, possibly up around 1500 once you add it all together. Also the fat content will be higher than you'd imagine.

You're doing well with your shake and soup but then blowing it with a meal that at first seems healthy but when you delve a bit deeper is actually pretty shit.

If you want a few ideas for reasonably tasty meals that are also pretty healthy let me know. I've got quite a few that I have that are decent enough portions, very tasty whilst not being too high in calories, carbs and fat.

My end date is June 22nd, I've got a big sweat on though as I think it's gonna be >20lbs in 7 weeks and will weigh myself Friday to get the digit. Wouldn't be much of a sweat if I wasn't a cripple and could bash out a load of cardio. As it stands though I can just about walk around my house so it will be a close run thing Cheesy

My end date doesn't really matter because I'm going to lie anyway.
