I'm finally getting back into the groove at the gym, I was pretty shattered after the first three months, but putting in a decent charge ahead of my trip to NYC.

The second, maintaining, bet is deffo a shit ton harder than the first one, and given the general slowing of this thread, I think we all need a shot in the arm - any suggestions?

That is actually a nailed on way to lose weight

For reference purposes:

weighed myself this morning and was 14st 11lb.

Due to be going to Vegas (was meant to be today but should be tomorrow) will weigh myself on return to see the damage!!!

Vegas was shit. Had flu and spent a lot of the time in bed. Obv didn't get to the gym, didn't always eat meals though as felt so bad.
Weighed myself when home and currently 14st 9lb.
Probs muscle loss as not exercised for a while and defo looking more of a chubber.

Originally was just going to target maintainence weight but want to get down to 14st by the June target

14st bang on, for a 3lb loss for the week, but still half a pound more than I weighed 4 weeks ago and 1/4lb off my target.

Happy enough, had a solid week and am now in training for a 10k run. It will have took me almost a month to redress the balance of a week of gluttoney, so I am gonna have a hell of a job on when I get back from New York I reckon.

Hi Cos, i try to squat, dead, bench and shoulder press every week with some assistance stuff to warm up/cool down. the trouble is that i'm a ginormous pussy unfortunately. you have managed to lose fat and gain muscle out in thailand? i think at my age i have to concentrate on one or the other and weight loss is number 1 atm.

anyway in that department i'm smashing it like girgy. 14 st 4 is 3 lbs off this week. really wanna be 14 by next sunday.

So in training for the 10k race this morning, my friends and I actually did the full 10k course, in just over 50 minutes.

Which is good and bad. Good that I can already do the course in a respectable time, bad that I haven't got anything to build up to.

So it has to be a respectable time now. I was thinking 45 minutes, any experienced runners think thats good? I did a couple of half marathons in my early 20s, and I have always had plenty of stamina. The race is July 1st.

Bit of a rough weekend over in Spain but not as bad as it could've been.

Drank a lot less than usual and didn't eat anything ridiculously bad. Had a nice Sunday dinner as well which was reasonably healthy.

Really good food day today with 1875 calories and only 18g of fat. Protein was a bit low at 200g but it a necessary sacrifice to keep the waist measurement reasonable.

If I can stick to similar to today for 4 or 5 days a week I think I'll have a chance for the start of June.

Current waist measurement 37.5"

Think I set my target at 34.5" so a fair way to go in just 5 weeks. Could be tough but I'll have a good go.
