Cheers patonious, some good info there! I will be on the HIIT tonight as arms are still battered.

Had a really bad blowout yesterday, actually feel terrible which is probably a good thing to stop me wanting to do it again. Result was an overnight 4lb gain. Lee can you update my Xmas challenge with the starting weight of 23st 1 plz.

Can you update Girgy's new challenge to say he will weigh less than me on 22nd Dec. that's what he told
Me yesterday anyway. Hasn't provided a forfeit yet.

GL fatties, where are the rest of them weigh ins? Soviet bossed it, Wp!

Girgy please confirm your forfeit before I update

No forfeit as there isn't a bet going on. I just know I'll weigh less than millidonk by December.

Ok day one in the gym. I didn't bother following the programme I've been looking at yet, this week is all about getting my technique right. I used the video Millidonk posted as a guide, and put a dumbell on it's side underneath me to act as a makeshift tin of beans (as per Pie's advice - it is actually lower probably than a tin of bins).

That extra inch or two to get lower down is such a big difference. The way I was doing it previously I could really feel it in my lower back, but this way I can really feel it in my arms, which makes perfect sense in hindsight. I managed about 11 consecutive, and did about 6 sets of between 7-11.

Also going to work my upper & lower back, and do cardio, with every session, as I figure these will all work in my favour. Did some lat pulldowns (but think I'll do pull ups in the future), deadlifts, and kettlebell swings, and a 20 minute run.

Gonna be way harder than I anticipated, but I tend to do ok when I have a challenge and something to learn at the same time.

Barry you Beast! 6 sets of 7-11 is deeece. String them together without breaks and you will be crushing it.

Video wise what we thinking? I was thinking do a max rep at the half way stage to guage how we are getting on and then obv the final video as opposed to one vid every week.

Gutted we haven't got more people getting involved, surely there are some of our heavier clientelle who fancy getting involved in a 50 press-up challenge like what I might have to end up doing?

I would have thought this was one for "thinnies" too.

Video wise, I think the only requirement should be the final test. However, I will be posting one in the next week or two, to make sure people are ok with my form. I also reckon I might post one when I get to something notable, like 40, both for motivation and also to lock in less forfeit as I go along.

Requirement is such a vulgar word, obv do what you want fella. I was thinking 100 for thinnies, 75/50 for fatties.

Looking forward to the next vid seeing that nose touch the floor.
