Just throwing this notion out there, but if people want to make losing weight as easy as possible, there surely needs to be an element of the process being quite easy. If there is a fight or struggle happening during the process, surely you are going to lose weight rather unhappily, or gain it/maintain it with doses of binging or whatever.

I have been through many a diet and always failed as i couldn't stick it because of the feelings of hunger or tiredness and generally feeling like crap as i was losing the weight.

I definitely do not know completely what I am doing on this next regime but I think it might work but it is pretty militant, however it keeps me feeling full and full of energy.

I am on a high carb, low fat sort of semi-vegan affair to things. I only eat fish with one meal and then i have lots of pasta, fruit and vegetables in the others. Need to probably add some sort of legumes in there too, but I am learning as I go along. I am not eating anything with any crap in. For example, no diet coke or anything like that packed with all the E numbers. Also eating no meat aside from fish which for many would be a joke to maintain. I am only 4 days in, but I feel very confident I can go until June without eating any meat aside from fish. Once I get to there, I may re-evaluate and decide my weening process from meat is done and go vegan. Pretty serious about this too. If any of my real life mates caught sight of this, I think I would be up for some vitriol Smiley As I normally couldn't get enough of meat for my whole life.

It may help that with just a little kick start I will be exercising to burn off the carbs, building muscle and making the diet a much better suit. But I think there is probably something to be said with not feeling restricted and eating to your hearts content, and if you only ate quite healthful foods, then the possible high end calorie intake will sort itself out as you become more healthy to burn it off anyway.

Also I am not studying my calorie intake. I am eating until full and then not eating again until hungry, I find that I do not eat that much as what I do eat is getting me through the day fine.

This may well have me falling flat on my arse within a week, but you guys still haven't been spared of my ill educated essay. Mwah.

Down 7 pounds in four days. But know at the start that early weight be quick in going.

Load of sense in that post, if you keep on that line of thought you will 100% crack it. Also eat more protein, make you fuller for longer and releases energy slowly. So many wins out of protein. GL

Cheers, thanks for the support. Am planning to get the protein from the fruits and veg which if eaten in high enough quantities is fine. But the daddy for the proteins will be coming in the beans or nuts (legumes) I am going to take on board. But with the nuts in particular, I have to make sure I limit my intake as they are very addictive for me, and I know without rationing I will go over the top with them, which is dangerous with their high fat content, but as I said early days, and hopefully, will get something towards a well rounded regime going shortly.
