Need to get this back on the go again.  I have given it all back (and some).  Made a deal with the Mrs.  We both have a target for the end of August weight wise.  If either of us fail, then we will not be doing a holiday this year.  Thinking is if one does and the other one doesn't they should feel pretty bad! incentive!

03/01/2015 - 15st 9 3/4
10/01/2015 - 14st 13 1/4
17/01/2015 - 14st 9 1/2
24/01/2015 - 14st 8 3/4
06/04/2015 - 16st 0 1/2  Sad

My target is 13 stone, which is going to be a tough slog.  Money saved on takeaways should pay for the holiday!

03/01/2015 - 15st 9 3/4
10/01/2015 - 14st 13 1/4
17/01/2015 - 14st 9 1/2
24/01/2015 - 14st 8 3/4
06/04/2015 - 16st 0 1/2
13/04/2015 - 15st 9 1/2

Solid enough start. Long way to go. Been to gym 5-6 days. Had a few bigger meals at the weekend due to the mrs's birthday! Onwards and upwards this week

Solid day on the eating front today;

Shreddies
apple
ham salad sandwich on wholemeal bread (from sandwich shop so unsure of details)
Pasta bake (no cheese) with tuna (home pride)

Feel like i can notice the difference, trousers looser etc, hoping scales agree next weigh in.

Good stuff Sov but be careful with the past bake type meals. They're usually high in fat and if you go for the low fat version they're full of sugar to make up for it.

I just had it in & checked the calories & fat, it wasn't too bad so went with it.  I like tuna & pasta but obv it can get a bit boring.

Today i've had

Porridge
Apple
Rest of pasta bake
banana

gym in 15 mins (back & bis)

omelette for tea (3 eggs) & protein shake.

a few people have said they can tell i've lost weight which always helps with motivation.

7th April: Weight 15st 13lb. Waist 37" to 38.5"

14th April: Weight 15st 11 1/4lb. Waist 36.75" to 38.25"

I have to admit at first I was a bit disappointed at the tiny loss but then having thought about it I realised it's actually brilliant. I really haven't got much to lose anyway and if I lose another 1/4" off my waist every week between now and June I'll be over the moon!!

Just those couple of negative thoughts though have given me a slight insight in to how some people must get demotivated when they have a bad week.

I know that I've eaten really well and I've also trained hard and walked the dog so I've had a great week. Because I've done so well I was really looking forward to weigh day and I was kind of expecting more and I'm sure everyone else has exactly the same thoughts. Maybe weekly weigh ins are a bad idea if they don't help to motivate. I know it's not a problem for me as I have a goal and I'll stick to it but for others I can see how it would be a problem and make you think that it isn't working anyway so you might as well give up.

It's a silly thought because these things take time. I preach it often enough but it still took me a little while to get it in to my head and be happy with my result rather than disappointed that it wasn't more.

I was gutted when i weighed in @ 102kg this week, but its really pushed me to keep at it this week as i know deep down that if i keep doing the right things the weight will come off.  I'm really going for it this week as i want to have a good result on sunday.

Todays session at the gym was hard, but really pushed myself as i want to beat this & drop the weight.  This thread is such an inspiration as flick a few pages back & you see the incredible journey some people have been on.  I'm so desperate to make it to 90kg, i'd love to do it by july but if it takes longer it takes longer.

Onward & downward!

Popped my back at the gym this morning doing a few dead lifts Sad

Obviously won't affect me at all with my diet but might mean I need a few days off the gym.

Luckily I was booked in for physio today anyway so hopefully I can get everything straightened out quickly and be back on it early next week.

bad days used to be much worse so not too disappointed but still need to keep the focus if i'm going to achieve 90kg by july

Down to 101kg, happy with this considering the few slip ups I've had.

Leg day tomorrow!

Keep it up guys.

I have been going hard for me on the exercise front. A little too hard over the weekend and I am taking enough rest days so that I have a clean slate with my leg muscles, really don't want them to be borderline getting injured on me, with my hamstrings the main suspects.

I need to make sure I always pull back when I feel like my muscles are straining while on my daily jog and to just call it a day then. Last Friday I just continued on jogging through a strain that i thought would go the next day but it didn't.

I am worried about how easily my muscles do strain but considering i have hardly moved my muscles in years, I can accept it will take a while to get them into fighting shape, but didn't anticipate I would be having this much trouble.

When they are strong after my hard efforts, there is no way I will ever not maintain a good level of fitness for life because I never want to go through this struggle to get back up again.

21st April: Weight 15st 7 3/4lb. Waist 36.5" to 38"

Really happy with another loss this week especially after a little slip on Saturday night which involved loads of alcohol and the inevitable Greggs pasties at silly o'clock in the morning.

I guess it just shows that as long as you're disciplined for the most part you can still have the occasional blow out without having to hate yourself for it.

I've noticed that all of my jeans feel a lot looser and I'm an extra notch tighter on all of my belts so the tape measure showing a loss is no big surprise.

6 weeks to go and still on target but it's going to get more and more difficult so I need to stay disciplined. I've had to have a few days off training due to putting my back out but the physio has given me permission to start training again tomorrow so that's going to help out a lot.

Keep up the good work everyone!!!

You wouldn't believe how much I wish this were true mate. I've been told in no uncertain terms by the physio though that's it's just because my back is still weak as f**k Sad

If I want to dead lift I'm only allowed to use the bar for the foreseeable future. Think I'll just focus on hyper extensions for a while to strengthen up and leave the deadlifts out completely.
