I'm interested in renting a car while out there, does anyone want to share? Staying at the palms.

You've got the $7.77 special at Mr Lucky's cafe in the Hard Rock too. Comes with steak, shrimp and mashed potato.

just rent for the days you want?

palms to rio isn't 'that' far, I actually walk that + once you've gone to wynncore or w/e on strip then it's not hard to get around round there.

some of the carparks are just joke huge!

I'm planning on walking that, but I'd like the option to play elsewhere and not have to rely on taxies and more than anything else I'm planning a few days off in LA / SF as well.

I just flew to California, cost me about £100 and I didn't have to worry about driving hungover!

A friend and I are looking at the Gold Coast for a couple of weeks simply cos of ease to the Rio.

Whats the best rooms to go for?  Any been recently refurbed?  Will be there for 2 weeks at end of June until mid July - chance of 20$ trick working?

Also had a portable charger in Vegas last year and was invaluable for my phone, iPad and Kindle

Had to buy another one and would recommend this or other similar devices

They have a 'Premium Room' which has 2 beds and will cost you $1k + 12% for the duration of your trip booking direct.

Not much you're likely to get with a $20 trick, but you could try a $100 for a 2bedroom suite maybe?

Had a look on Expedia and the same 2 weeks (June 30th - July 14th) is £720 for a premium room.

Anyone here got experience with taking > $10k and declaring it?

As far as I can tell all I have to do is fill out a form, is that right? https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/778/~/declaring-currency-when-entering-the-u.s.-in-transit-to-a-foreign-destination

it's not hassle to declare etc just make sure you do otherwise it's a massive kerfuffle.
