Definitely not worth it if they are Thomas Cook flights.

I flew Thomas cook back from the series this year and hated every minute of it. If you get unlucky and draw anyone overweight next to year it is extremely cramped, this is pretty likely given the demographic who fly Vegas to manchester!

This is something I put together last year re restaurants, for one of my friends who was going:

Recommended places to eat:

- Grand Lux Cafe in either Venetian or Pallazzo (Pallazzo tends to be quieter)
 - Noodle Asia (next to Venetian cardroom)
**when you buy in to a Venetian Deepstack event you can use your ticket to purchase caps, t-shirts etc. You can also request a $10 food coupon which can be used towards food in the 2 above places (amongst others)**
 - Postrio in St Mark's Square in Venetian
 - Charlie Palmers at the Four Seasons Hotel (south of Mandalay Bay) - they have a cut of the week deal (3 courses and bottomless wine) for $48 per person, which is an absolute bargain and it's very very good.  Menu changes weekly - see http://www.charliepalmer.com/Properties/CPSteak/LasVegas/Menu/
 - Breakfast or lunch in the Terrace Point Cafe in the Wynn (sit outside for views over the Wynn pool)
 - Dal Toro at Palazzo - excellent steaks at reasonable prices
- Olives in Bellagio - good for lunch or dinner. A little bit pricey but great atmosphere and can sit outside overlooking fountains (need to pre book)
 - Le Burger Brasserie (between Ballys and Paris indoors) - amazing burgers at reasonable prices
 - Earl of Sandwich in Miracle Mile Shops!
- Todd English Pub - between Aria & Crystals shopping centre - really nice english style pub grub
- Gordon Ramsay's Pub & Grill in Caesars - good quality grill menu and separate pub menu

Also some excellent happy hours from 3pm Mon-Fri in Pallazzo shops at Table 10 and Double Helix

For anyone looking to book a hotel for next Summer, www.lowcostusa.co.uk have some great deals currently for Venetian and Palazzo in June/July.  Just booked our room at Palazzo (24th June - 3rd July), 9 nights for £845. This price includes tax, but not the resort fee which is $25 + 12% tax per night!  So total price inc tax and resort fees for 9 nights is £1002, which is £111 per night.  Based on current exchange rate of approx 1.6 that's $177 per night. The cheapest rate you will get Mon-Thurs at Palazzo is $129 but that doesn't include tax or resort fee, and prices are much higher at weekends, so an ave of $177 per night is really good.   The Venetian is cheaper, but we prefer the Palazzo.  We're probably going to stay at Gold Coast for our first 5 days (not booked this yet) but then moving to Palazzo for a bit of luxury.

Yes.

Basically, it's like flying to Europe with Ryanair but for 10hrs compared to BA/Virgin. Less seat room, smaller seats and less baggage allowance.

Every year there has been an Xmas sale with BA. I would wait for this.

That will cost you more...

I think you said Ali is a teacher - what dates does she have off?

Ignore everything I posted earlier, except the bit about honeymoon.

Wait it out for the sale, and if there isn't one we should still be able to sort you out something good mate Smiley

Two guys I know want to go to Vegas & I said I don't mind going. They've recently won a package from Genting for £2.5k. Looking for 10 days around April 6th?

Possible to be all in for £900 to go with them? Possible suites?

You might have to put a bit of effort in if you want anyone else to.

Assuming they won a package including a flight and room, and assuming you can bunk with them for free, you can do it on £900 and have some change.  I imagine their package would include a direct flight, so that's ~ £700.  If you want to meet them there and go indirect, you can do it a bit cheaper, but it isn't worth the extra effort for most.  I would also imagine that their package gave them no choice of room, so starting to look at suites would be both beyond your budget and no use to anyone else forced to stay in a particular hotel.

10 days for £900 all in might get you some 'sweets', but you're not gonna be getting any suites Smiley

Just had a quick look and you can just about get a room on the strip for a ~£1k with an indirect flight from Manchester

2 rooms is usually cheaper than a 2 bedroom suite.  Yep you can do it for £900.  You can get rooms on strip for £20 a night.  Question is whether you want to stay there.

1stop flight is cheaper than direct.
Rooms are more expensive at weekends, so 1 weekend is cheaper than 2.
