Stupid prices on www.lowcostusa.co.uk for Venetian/Palazzo in late June (22nd onwards) and early July. e.g. 24th June for 9 nights at the Venetian is only £729. The same room via Expedia is £1067. |

I got ten nights in rush tower thro expedia for 510£ it's 1200$ plus direct so as I'm sharing with a mate it's 25£ a night

Sorry Michelle, this isnt a dig at you and will obv depend on personal views, but I would suggest that anybody who would like to play online poker with Americans again not stay or spend any money in Venetian/Palazzo as the owner (Adelson) spends his profits on being the leader in trying to get online poker banned in that country. |

I Dont know about getting an american phone but all the hotels have wifi and good ones at that never an issue at the table with whats app and just use viber or skype to ring. |

Check with your phone contract, but usual advice is to switch off roaming, ensure international calling is enabled, in case you want to make a call. For calling the kidz etc, use wifi and VoiP to (video)call for free. Oh and: I wish I could go to Vegas ! ......one day

Can't remember whether I've posted this already, but Three now have a"Feel at Home" policy for the USA, whereby phone calls, texts AND internet cost the same as the UK. e.g my £12 a month contract gets me unlimited texts and internet in vegas.
Might be worth anyone who is interested in picking up a Three SIM.

Finally got a question for this excellent thread
On behalf of my old man who is going to Vegas for the first time as a kind of stopover on the way to La with his wife.
He has booked the venetian for 4 nights in August. Question is will the upgrade trick work for such a short stay?
Have already put together some info for him from the thread which he really appreciates.
