Yep, been a few times. Weather still good usually in the 20s celcius, but can get a day or so when below 10 degrees.
FWIW I always wear shorts/t-shirt when I go in Nov

Been doing some digging and found Flamingo (Wife Likes the Look of the Pool and the Cash Games in there are not too bad) for £507 for the week of 5th September 2016. But it also offered me Bed and Breakfast for £545? Has anybody been B&B in Vegas before and what is the Breakfast?

I've seen a couple of offers like it, where the B&B part was simply entrance to the buffet.  I've never eaten at the Flamingo buffet, tough to imagine that it's terrible, but I certainly wouldn't want to eat there 7 straight days.
Harrahs being Harrahs, they might not even give that much credit and it might be a coupon for the food court or something, guessing it must be in the smallprint of the deal you are looking at though?

It's usually 20 degrees just about warm enough for shorts by day but chillier at night
Most pools are closed I believe
Snow / sleety rain is not unheard of either

from tripadvisor

Our biggest complaint was them offering a FREE Breakfast......they sure need to spell that out a little clearer.....it was NOT easy to use.
They give you $18 a day ($9 per person if you room with a friend).
The ONLY place you can use it is at one walk up place called Java Detour
No protein for breakfast available; mostly sweets, juice, water or coffee; yogurt too.
If your name is NOT on your room's registration they will not serve you. THREE mornings in a row we went to the reservation desk, double checked and STILL couldn't get breakfast because the 2nd person in the room didn't who up on the computer at the Java Detour.
What a total waste and very frustrating.

It is a bit dated, so can't promise it is the same offer.  If it is the buffet, I'd go for it, if it is the offer above, go somewhere else.

I wouldn't pay money to volunteer for 7 straight days of Flamingo buffets.

Been twice and it has always been fine weather-wise. Going 9th-16th November this year. Cannot wait!!

Davey, definitely note the pools will NOT be open in November

More than decent prices for us northerners. Some of the flights are out of Manchester very early doors (07.15 for a 10.05 arrival into Vegas).

I'll keep an eye on it, as yet Caesars haven't renewed with the program.  I don't know what the referral kickback is, if at all, but it seems there are referral codes out there that can get your membership fee waived, saving $95.  If that's the case, makes sense for one of us to do all the referring, I'll give you the details offline Mark if you are ready to book.  I'll thrash out the small print of the deal if/when Caesars confirm they are in.

Benefits:

Priority lines everywhere.  Check-in.  Restaurants.  Taxis. Valet. WSOP cashiers. Regular cage.  For things like Bacchanal, that could easily save you 2 hours per visit.  For lunchtime WSOP buyin, also going to save tonnes of grief.
Diamond Lounges.  Hot food, free bar, +guest. Highly variable food quality depending on hotel and time of day.  The days of the FT and Stars suites @ Rio are ofc long gone.  But making use of the diamond lounge while on property might be a good thing to do, no idea how overrun it gets.
Spa/Gym. Free access (small fee in Qua)
$100 dining credit.  Seems last year, most people got that, but there is some doubt as to whether you are technically entitled to it.
No resort fees.  On long stays, this covers the cost of the card.
2 free showtickets.  Doesn't say anything about it on the TR website, but diamond card holders seem to get them, no idea to what, but heard talk of it being monthly, so if your stay overlaps a calendar month, you might get 4 tickets.
TAG beer delivered to your table game at Linq.
Card match to other loyalty schemes, from time to time.

Feel free to add to the list if anyone knows of anything else, I expect the card to be $395 for a year, which would be a push for a 12 night stay in RF's alone.  Not having to stand in line is ofc a great benefit, value depends on how much value you put on your time.

And whilst aiming at Diamond, you automatically get other benefits that you might use, Virgin give you Silver Flying Club for example, Hilton give you Gold status, BA 10% off, others besides.

Simon, any update on this at all? I'm definitely thinking about it now I'm planning two trips this year!

yes, Harrahs have confirmed participation.  I'm  not in a position at the moment to book anything up, but I'd like to try and harness any affiliate benefit for the good of Blonde.  We could get a good few signups if people crunch the numbers.  I realise that usually trying to organise poker players is like trying to herd cats, but I'm confident we can manage to do this one Smiley

What I'd need is one person who is ready to sign up.  Should be $395.  I'd walk that person through exactly what they need to do, the benefits, how to create an account, etc etc, 15 minutes tops.  Once you are signed up, that person can refer others, which will save people the $95 admin fee (I'll get a random code to save you your $95 to start with).  I'd ask anyone that makes use of this thread to sign up using that code, they save $95 and whatever kickback the referer gets can be channeled back through Blonde (I have no idea at this point how much that is.)

So, first person ready to book, give me a shout!
