So..is PE better than E even if it's worse than U. Hope someone can help and this thread seems to be the place for that

Yes definitely, you get better legroom and better treatment in PE.  I'd say it just gives you enough extra space to be able to nap comfortably.  You are more likely to get away from the rowdier people than in economy, though there is no guarantee.  I had pretty much my worst journey back from Vegas in PE when sat behind a couple of irritating none sleeping kids.

I have done upper and PE.  If I had the 100k miles I'd definitely get upper, but I definitely wouldn't pay huge sums more for it.  Each time I have done it, it has been because upper was pretty much the same price as PE.

Having a bed on the way back is good, too. Most people would happily go in the baggage hold on the way out if it means they land in Las Vegas. Comfort and convenience are big factors for me. I'd rather get on the plane and turn left.

PE is a good step up from E. You also get the better menu, if memory serves. The extra legroom does make a difference for sure.

Exactly what I've said to my friends for years Cheesy

I'll be flicking it in for PE on the way back, as it's only an extra £150 atm.

http://www.headforpoints.com/2015/12/18/british-airways-club-world-dublin/

British Airways launched its Winter sale yesterday.  This is valid in all classes for departures from the UK, for bookings until 2nd February.

I am currently looking through the various prices and will have a full article tomorrow.

In the meantime, I want to draw your attention to some amazing Club World fares to North America which have been loaded out of Dublin.

These are only valid for travel over the key holiday periods:
Book by 2nd February 2016
Fly outbound between 19th March and 18th April 2016
or
Fly outbound between 1st July and 31st August 2016

Looks like Vegas in Business will be doable for £800ish.

Interesting stuff. Cheers for posting, Grant.

Virgin dropped under 800 for my dates, for the first time since the sale started.

Westjet still almost 300 cheaper, though, which pays for my week at the Rio during the m/e.

The 2016 World Series of Poker, which is entering its 47th year, will run from May 31 to July 18, 2016 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

While the full schedule for the 50-day series hasn't been released – it's expected to come in either January or February – officials have revealed several details, including the first open event of the 2016 WSOP – Event #2: Colossus II!

The wildly popular tournament, which attracted a record 22,374 entrants last year has been revamped to make it even bigger and better. Colossus II will feature a $7 million guaranteed prize pool (up from $5 million last year), two additional entry flights, and a guaranteed first-place prize of $1 million.

Colossus II, which maintains the $565 buy-in and will host starting flights on Thursday, June 2, Friday, June 3 and Saturday, June 4, will use the format successfully introduced at WSOPE's Oktoberfest event where each starting flight plays into the money, which opens up the possibility players could cash multiple times in the event

Also back on the schedule in 2016 are the popular Millionaire Maker, Monster Stack, Little One for ONE DROP, Seniors Event and Ladies Championship.

Of course the highlight on the schedule will be the $10,000 Main Event, which is slated to run over ten consecutive days from July 9 - July 18, 2016 and will feature three starting flights – Saturday, July 9; Sunday, July 10; and Monday, July 11.

The date is also confirmed for this year’s $1,000 Senior Event — for those aged 50 or older – which will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 17.

Does anyone have any experience of the Westjet flights? We are looking to head out early June and can get connecting flights with them for£550,BA are £780 and Virgin £880 but obv direct. Just trying to weigh up if the Saving is worth the the hassle as it will be an extra 5/6 hours.

No personal experience, but I did look at them when I was pricing trips up for the summer, and nothing bad cropped up from my limited research.

Virgin was just under £800 this morning, so just went with that to be done with it.

Not sure if it matters to anyone and apologies if it's mentioned already but it looks like Virgin fly on a Thursday from Gatwick now but no longer fly Tuesdays.  Great news for me as I get an extra days holiday.  Flights also leave here an hour or so earlier (or at least mine does) and the flight back from Vegas is also an hour earlier.

I saw the flights were a bit earlier, which makes no odds to me as a passenger Grin

They do still fly Tuesdays, as that was the day I was going, until my old man realised they could get away on the Monday.

I only had about 200 miles left, so had to cough up the cash, lol.

All booked now anyway, so roll on June!

Still some hotels slower than others to adjust, so reasonable prices can be still hunted. It won't take long for them to go even higher though, so it isn't a bad weekend to avoid. Unless you are playing the seniors event which I think is the same weekend.

Four Queens is £330 on Low Cost USA 14th-21st.

I get there on the 20th, so just miss all the carnage. Well, all the EDC associated carnage, anyway Smiley
