Harrah's seem to charge a resort fee now, is this correct?

Maybe OP needs an update?

You're right, they started charging this month and I forgot to update it. Harrahs being Harrahs, they're charging different amounts at each hotel so I had to check each one....

The new resort fees are as below

Quad (IP) $10 p/night
Harrahs   $18 p/night
Ballys $15 p/night
Flamingo  $18 p/night
Rio (off strip) $18p/night
Planet Hollywood $20 p/night
Paris $20 p/night
Caesars $25 p/night
Nobu $25 p/night

One thing to consider if you're only taking around £3K is to use Travelex and use their Buy Back Plus option.  They offer pretty competitive rates (check the comparison tool posted above) and by using Buy Back Plus you're effectively borrowing US dollars for £3.99.  If you win you can convert the lot back at the rate you bought them for and keep any extras for next trip.

Plus they're at most airports, remember to order online first though!

I remember Tal posting about that a while back, a timely reminder thanks Smiley

I intend coming home with money and not a credit card bill this year, so will definitely get my $$ from them and hopefully have some to change back too.

I typed 'shopping malls las vegas' into Google and it comes up with a list of the websites of the shopping malls in Las Vegas.

Just noticed the post above regarding Harrahs now charging resort fees, a group of 10 of us go in may but have had it booked since last summer. Will we be stung for the resort fees on arrival or is it just on recent bookings?

You'll be alright mate, anything booked before March 1st is exempt from them.
